Importannce of Tallent

...Pandya Portland State University- IELP November 5, 2014 TALENT Importance of Talent In this world, all people wish to get success in their life to fulfill their needs. There are solutions to obtain success in life; some people working hard to be successful, while others are have naturally talent on their field. In this essay, I would like to talk about importance of talent. There are mainly three reasons why talent is more important than hard work are: Success is easy, love their work and not have to do hard work to get success. The first reason for why talent is important is, person who gets talent in their gene from parents they don’t have to do struggle on their field to get chance on their field instead of that people wants them. For example, the Bollywood actor the late Raj Kapoor and their family has gene of acting talent in their blood. After his death his son was also did great job in acting field. In recent time his granddaughter and grandson are most amazing actors in Bollywood. So, I think talent is more important for success or in other words talent is a key of success. The second reason for why talent is more important is, person who has a talent in their work they mostly love their work because they know they will get success in their field and success improves their confidence. For example if you are confident about your work then other will support you but when you don’t believe in your ability then how can you accept from others. In our reading also saying...

Malcolm Gladwell Outliers Essay

...discusses several key aspects throughout the book that contribute to people becoming successful. Mostly, Gladwell argues that "hidden advantages", "extraordinary opportunities", and "cultural legacies" are the main factors that play a part in a person's level of success. So, due to these particular aspects that help make a person a success, not everyone is capable of becoming an outlier. People must have certain things working for them in order to become successful. A person must have "hidden advantages" working for them. They must have "extraordinary opportunities" that they are able to take. Furthermore, certain cultures have traits that are important in becoming successful, so a person's "cultural legacies" play a large part in the journey to success. In Outliers, Gladwell provides numerous examples of these key aspects being a part of a successful person's life, but are they actually true for every person that is an outlier?...

Reflection On Outliers By Malcolm Gladwell

...realize that Gladwell’s compelling pieces of work were investigating something that I personally had never put any extra thought into: the root causes of success. Prior to reading Outliers, I had foreseen success as something which occurred only under the circumstances of a lucky break, but as Gladwell stated: “Success is not a random act. It arises out of a predictable and powerful set of circumstances and opportunities” (155). Through analyzing the evidence and...

...Steven Phillip FDS 100 Dr. Carter November 20, 2013 Philosophy of Success Essay In order to have success you must first define success. To most people, success means achieving a goal. In order to achieve a goal, a person usually has to work hard and believe in themselves. Being successful at what you do can also be very motivating. Success usually goes hand in hand with appreciation. If someone succeeds at what they do, they will most certainly appreciate it. This helps in striving to achieve more goals and for more success in life. To some people, success means being the best at what you can do. Just taking part and achieving regular standards is not enough. People who always want to be the best are usually the ones who achieve their goals, they put in hard work and dedication in everything they say and do. Success means more to some than others. Some people want to be successful by all means, not caring how hard or how long it takes. Others are satisfied by simply trying and giving what they believe to be their best whether they succeeded or not. Success only appears meaningful to those individuals with a purpose. One of their keys to success is to work on finding their purpose in life. The true meaning of success isn't just about becoming the best you can at what you do, but about knowing that you completed your purpose and goal. The meaning of success lies within you. I accomplish success by putting god in front of everything that I do in my life. I’ve learned...

Success

...Success Paper What does the word “success” actually mean? With all of the tasks that are put in front of you in life, it is important to have an understanding of the word. Success can be described in many different ways because everybody has their own opinion when it comes to saying what it truly is. But success is a choice, not something that just happens. The key to success is setting a specific goal, trying hard, not being lazy, and having the desire to succeed. To me, success means to be happy and satisfied with what you have accomplished. In order to succeed, you will fail many times. It does not come to you as easily as you would think. You can accomplish whatever comes at you with ease. But if you are not satisfied with your work, then you have not succeeded and if you have not succeeded, then you have failed. Failing is the part of success that no person ever wants to come across, but “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Succeeding takes time, you have to be patient. Some goals to help you achieve success are putting in hard work and being prepared. If you are trying to succeed, you have to give it your all. You cannot just put in half your effort, and expect a full effort reward in return. Hard work is everything when it comes to succeeding. It may not come right away, but I can guarantee you, if you put hard work into everything, you will succeed. Also, if you are a big procrastinator, that has to stop. Procrastination is a big part of failure, or not being satisfied...

Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers

...Powell, once claimed that “success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence” (BrainyQuote). People have a natural tendency to believe wholeheartedly in this claim due to the hope that it provides. The hope offers a concept that hard work will allow anyone, in any situation, to succeed. This idea is a key principle in the founding of America, clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence that “...all men are created equal” (Article I, Section II, Clause I). This foundation causes most Americans have it deeply ingrained in their minds that success is the product of hard work alone. The method of reaching success is closely scrutinized in Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers....

Indian Youth

...Youth signifies and represents ideal-ism and hope. Every generation of young persons charts out its own course to realize its dreams and aspirations in life. Meanwhile it is the perpetual responsibility of the elders to assist the youths in growing up and in becoming familiar with the eternal human values. Further, they need acquaintance with different facets of human quest that has led to generation, creation, dissemination and evolution of knowledge resulting in better understanding of the forces of nature, the world around us, and the way civilizations evolve and march ahead. They must prepare themselves to chalk out their new goals of life they wish to pursue and the contributions they intend to make to society. The youths are to be taught to paint the vast canvas of life with ideas and activities that could help them visualize the future they are to create for themselves and their fellow men. Secrets to Success

...Secrets to success It has been argued in different avenues that the meaning of success is relative. To some it means being rich, having a happy family, having a well paying job, owning a blue-chip company (The list is endless). The best meaning of Success that I have come across is that "Success is the completion of anything intended." In other words success is finishing what you planned to do. From this, success doesn’t necessarily mean being number one; it means achieving your target within the intended timeframe. The difference between those who succeed in life and those who fail are neither the number of shipwrecks nor the severity of the storms. The difference is in their persistence. It takes persistence to complete the journey. Success is a process. It is an incessant refinement of strategy until something finally works. Success starts with goal setting, and then goal setting is followed by action. Neither your goal setting theory nor your actions have to be perfect. A key to success is to start anywhere; over time, your vision will clear and your actions improve. Some say that success in any profession is due to luck, chance and hard work. There is nothing further from the truth. Many people work incredibly hard and put in long hours, but they are not successful. Hard work certainly contributes to success, but hard work alone will not make you a "top dog" in your trade or profession. So, what is the secret of success? Is it due to luck or chance? Is it due...
