...The research project that my group is currently working on is “Which of the Four Types of Milk Contain the Most Protein and Which of the Four Contains the Greatest Amount of Reducing Sugars”. The four types of milk that we will be experimenting on are Vitamin D, Soy, Almond, and Rice. We will be using Benedict’s test for Reducing Sugars to determine which type of milk contains the most sugar and we will also be using Bradford’s Test for Protein Concentration to determine which type of milk contains the most protein. My group and I believe that Soy milk will carry the greatest amount of protein because it contains many essential nutrients to the human body, the milk comes from a bean, which contains a lot of protein and it also has the worst taste out of all the samples. We also believe that Almond milk will contain the most sugar because it carries along a very sweet taste (from almond nuts) to it compared to the other samples. Determining which milk has the most nutrients (proteins) will allow us to decide which milk is most beneficial to those seeking a high protein diet for their health. Also, determining which type of milk contains the greatest amount of sugar will help us determine which type of milk is the least beneficial to those who wish to avoid sugar.
