Student Number: 14207232
Mizzou email address: achfm4@mail.missouri.edu
Major: Marketing
GPA: 3.2
Are You a True Tiger: Yes
Cell Phone Number: (816)550-0112
Campus Address: 206 S College Ave, Columbia Missouri, 65201
Favorite Campus Organization: AASB or Beta Sigma Psi
How did I hear about AASB: Sherri Gallick and John Becker

1. I would host a “Student Appreciation Day”. Lately around campus we’ve encountered a lot of racial, religion, and gender identity tension. So I think that bringing all of the students together and showing appreciation for each and every person no matter what their race is would be a good idea. I would pay for different retailers to come to our campus and sponsor different raffles and giveaways. On top of that we would have a basketball and football tournament for the students to be able to play and the winner earns a $1000 scholarship. Lastly I would pay for each and every student to be able to eat at any dining hall for the remainder of the day for free. 2. The True Tiger Network is important to this university and its students because it’s the largest student organization on campus and it’s a great source to get involved on campus as well as networking with different students and alumni. You get to be involved in many events such as Day of Service, Networking opportunities, and Alumni Speaker Series. It also helps to continue the amazing traditions of this campus for the future tigers. Last but not least you can forget about all the cool game day shirts that you get! 3. The Unique skills and experiences I can bring to AASB are my listening skills, gathering all the facts prior to making decision, and multi-tasking. With the aspect of being a good listener, it gives me a great opportunity to meet with people and gather knowledge that will help me understand any problems or learn from them to become and even better leader in the future. When it comes to discipline or multi-tasking, I’m great at scheduling time management, and completing all my tasks in an expedited manor. I pride myself on leading by example, with a goal in positively influencing others. I also hold a higher standard for myself, so at all times I pursue to do my absolute best at any task at hand. This would be a great characteristics lead by example for others. 4. The most rewarding experience in my life so far would be being accepted to the University of Missouri. I will be the first person in my family to go to college and earn a 4 year degree. I am proud of this opportunity and accomplishment because my parents are very devoted and hard workers, but due to their lack of education they have not been able to live up to their full potential. This is why I decided to go to Mizzou and begin my life with a step ahead of many and to pursue my dreams in marketing throughout the years. 5. What I hope to gain from joining AASB would be the networking leadership opportunities of being able to meet all different Alumni that have attended this campus and to full fill the traditions that makes this campus one of the best campuses in this country. I really was looking forward to getting involved when I came to Mizzou because I know that is how you stand out from other students. One of my mentors, Sherri Gallick, who also happens to be a family member has motivated me to reach for the stars here at Mizzou and in life. Seeing how involved she is in this campus despite not being here motivated me to apply for AASB. I would do anything to not let myself or her down.

...simplypsychology.org http://www.simplypsychology.org/a-level-memory.html A-level Psychology Memory Revision By Saul McLeod The Multi-Store Model AO1 The multistore model of memory was proposed by Atkinson and Shiffrin and is a structural model. They proposed that memory consisted of three stores: sensory register, short-term memory (STM) and long-term memory (LTM). Information passes from store to store in a linear way. Both STM and LTM are unitary stores. Sensory memory is the information you get from your sense, your eyes and ears. When attention is paid to something in the environment it is then converted to short-term memory. If any information is not important then it decays or disappears. Once in the short term memory informed can be rehearsed and some information is rehearsed and then passed into long term memory. Each store has its own characteristics in terms of encoding, capacity and duration. Encoding is the way information is changed so that it can be stored in the memory. There are three main ways in which information can be encoded (changed): 1. Visual (picture), 2. Acoustic (sound), 3. Semantic (meaning). Capacity concerns how much information can be stored. Duration refers to the period of time information can last in the memory stores. Sensory Register • Duration: ¼ to ½ second • Capacity: all sensory experience (v. larger capacity) • Encoding: sense specific (e.g. different stores for each sense) Short Term Memory • Duration:...
