- Warmer temperatures made it easier to farm and to travel to areas that provided great crop for the farmers of those times.
- The three-field system made farming more efficient and easier to laborers which allowed farmers to farm much more of a variety of crops.
- Better farm equipment increased productivity as well as changed the way laborers farmed.


2. How did the agricultural revolution change European society? Provide an example.


  -       The agricultural revolution changed society for the better.   The improvements throughout the revolution gave way to more efficient, broad ways of farming.   It also changed the way that the agricultural society functioned.


Industrial Revolution

1. What are the three most important factors contributing to the industrial revolution in Europe?


- The inventions of machines to do the work that hand tools once did.
- The use of steam to take the place of hard labor from humans and animals.
- The change in production to favor the factory system closely used by certain companies today.


3. Describe working conditions in factories and mines between 1800 and 1850. What was life like for a typical worker? Reference at least one primary source to support your response.


  -     The conditions of factory and mine workers were of a disgusting nature by any       standards of today‚Äôs society.   There were children workers, safety hazards, as well as             many health hazards.   All of these harmful factors were grossly overlooked.
