This past week in Honors University Perspective, we discussed the not-so-secret weapon called office hours, how to argue for a grade, and approaches to studying. The topics we discussed are heavily prevalent in students’ lives, especially freshmen. What this class teaches me is valuable information that will stick with me for the rest of my life; it can be applied not only in an educational setting, but a professional setting as well.
I had previously been weary of office hours, mostly because professors seemed too sophisticated and busy for me. The points presented arguing why office hours are crucial to a student’s success convinced me that I was the only one in control of my learning, and the only thing stopping me from forming personal
