...This is only a test of the site. There is not a real paper here. Good luck. I am just typing to get to two hundred and fifty words so that I can join this. I have never signed up with this company and I am not sure if it real or not. I hope that I can contribute the body of knowledge at some time but if it is a scam then I don’t want to do much here. I hope others like this site and I usually have found some essays, not good ones, from 247 custom writing. This was related to one on my management classes. The essays were real drafts but they gave me a jumping start and then I went into a real investigation and research project on most if not all of them. My last few had over 10 references and even up to 20. The topics are great in my class and I appreciate what I am learning in it as well. I hope to begin my overall research project soon, but at this time I am only in my third class with the University of Phoenix and I am loving it. It is flexible and the professors are great. I hope to meet some of them beyond the virtual classroom to thank them personally for my education. I am hoping to graduate with my PhD in under five years, but that may be too tall an order to complete my research and defend my thesis. I have a topic in mind, but still need more classes before I really begin and then I have to select an advisor and find other professors to sit on my committee. It is an arduous process but one that I am looking forward to in a few...

Reflections

...already knowing that I wanted to be an English teacher; I had taken numerous English courses and though I knew exactly what I was headed for-was I ever wrong. Going through the English program has taught me so much more than stuff about literature and language, it has taught me how to be me. I have learned here how to write and express myself, how to think for myself, and how to find the answers to the things that I don't know. Most importantly I have learned how important literature and language are. When I started at CI, I thought I was going to spend the next 3 years reading classics, discussing them and then writing about them. That was what I did in community college English courses, so I didn't think it would be much different here. On the surface, to an outsider, I am sure that this is what it appears that C.I. English majors do. In most all my classes I did read, discuss, and write papers; however, I quickly found out that that there was so much more to it. One specific experience I had while at C.I. really shows how integrated this learning is. Instead of writing a paper for my final project in Perspectives of Multicultural Literature (ENGL 449), I decided with a friend to venture to an Indian reservation and compare it to a book we read by Sherman Alexie. We had a great time and we learned so much more that we ever could have done from writing a paper. The opportunity to do that showed me that there are so many ways that one can learn that are both fun and educational. ...

It is a major topic in many political debates, and one cannot read a newspaper or watch the evening news without eventually coming across a story about it. With all of the commotion surrounding illegal immigration, it is no surprise that many American citizens are concerned about how much it will affect their lives. The exact impact of illegal immigration is impossible to measure due to the fact that the majority of illegal immigrants are undocumented. However, it is clear that it has both negative and positive impacts on the American workforce. Whether or not one past outweighs the other is a personal opinion, but the only way to make an informed decision is to know the facts from both sides of the argument. This research report will discuss both the negative and positive impacts that illegal immigration has on the American economy, but will begin by giving a brief background on illegal immigration. Psychoanalysis In John Updike's 'A & P'

...What is you topic and your tentative thesis? My main topic or main focus is psychoanalysis which involves the readers to question the actions of either the author or the characters in the story. In this case I decided to explore the actions of the characters in the story and their motivations. I have to question the characters actions and evaluate what might had been going through their minds that lead them to their final decision. I have research Freud and Erickson to back up my arguements. My thesis statement still needs work but here it is: One can argue with the help of psychoanalysis the reader can find an explanation for the characters motivations, actions, and emotions presented in these stories "A&P" by John Updike and "The Rocking...

Fundamental Management

...Reflection Essay With completing the first term in the Constructed Self class, I was able to benefit from a variety of new things from the class, as well as refresh my memory on things that I already knew, just needed a reminder about. The biggest hurdle in the class for me was time management. I am a procrastinator and always have been, so completing assignments on time was and still is a challenge for me. I have not come to a full solution to this problem yet, but I did make changes in my life as to how I can manage time management. I found that it was easier for me to focus on homework if I was outside my dorm room, because when in my dorm, I would usually mess around on the internet or take naps. I don’t think realistically I will get over procrastination anytime soon, but I can manage it. With hurdles came hidden strengths I discovered about myself. I’ve never thought of myself as a leader, but because the class used group thinking in more than one occasion, I found that I am a good leader. I communicate my ideas to the group while trying to balance the ideas of others so the group can come to an agreed upon decision. Obviously this can benefit me no matter what career I decide to go into, because the ability to take control of a situation and still remain diplomatic with colleagues is a valuable asset to have. Other than this, I can’t think of any other strength I discovered. I don’t think of myself as egotistical, but honestly I am pretty happy with...

Initial Reflection Eng 202

...possibly can. This is about the only negative feeling that I have when in any class on a regular basis. I believe that I need to improve in all areas of my writing, there is always room for improvement. Improvement in sentence structure specifically would be something I need to work on. Additionally, I am excited to learn how to write research papers by the end of the semester. This is something that I have not done since the eighth grade, and I do not remember much about it. In my past college English classes, 101 and 121, we mostly participated in short readings and then a paper to follow the reading. This was very annoying, doing the same thing every class. However, I did enjoy the discussion portions of these classes; seeing the viewpoints from many different people was very thought provoking at times. I had the same professor for both of these classes, she was excellent and fun, but I did not enjoy that her viewpoints were extremely feministic and I found this very annoying. I felt as though she was very condescending on certain topics because of this. But overall, I have had a great experience with the English courses here at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and am hoping that it continues. I have been pleased with this past week of this course. My only...

Similarly, the Yir Yoront, a forager group in Australia, as any group of civilization, has values worth protecting. ...statement, the emphasis of the study is to find a correlation, either positive or negative, between Mozart’s music and short term memory. This is an example of a research paper with data observation and analysis. The observations were recorded by running ANOVA and Post Hoc tests to compute values for the variables. The goal was to find a positive correlation between the two variables. For that a hypothesis was tested that was proven to be negative. Alternatively, this proved the scientific validation of the null hypothesis i.e. “positive correlation exists between short term memory and listening to Mozart’s music.” The actual thesis statement is both precise and straight to the point yet some explanation has been given to elaborate the details of the study. Thesis Subject: The Effect of Mozart’s Music on Short Term Memory Sample Thesis Statement: The thesis statement is created from the essential question i.e. “is there any presence of a positive cause and effect relationship on the memory status of the students who listen to Mozart’s music, as it is propagated in the theory of Mozart’s effect”. The hypothesis tested for this study is, “Listening to Mozart’s music has no effect on human memory”. Thesis Statement Example 2 This is an example of a research essay thesis statement. While writing a thesis statement for a research essay you have to strictly take a for or against approach and then justify your argument. For such type of thesis statements, it’s best to gather your material...

Future of Nursing

...The Research Log This is only the third time I’ve asked for an assignment like this in English 205, so I want to tell you why I think it's valuable as well as give you a few guidelines for putting it together. In all the other classes I teach (literature and creative writing and other composition classes), I ask students to keep journals, informal writing projects that continue through the semester. Journals have always been my favorite things to read and respond to, because they’re much more like conversations than formal writing assignments: I always stress that I don’t care about grammar mistakes or misspelled words, just ideas and opinions – and when I comment, I give my ideas and opinions back! Often, the lack of format and structure frees people to write really interesting things, things they can then develop into more formal essays if they want. They’re not just “diaries,” because the things people write are related to what we’re doing in class; it’s just that they can use the relative freedom to rant, or reflect, or wonder, or . . . anything they want! I know, as a writer, that the things I’m most proud of have pretty spontaneous beginnings, so I always want to give students opportunities to start wherever they are – wherever that is – and move along from there. But I hadn’t asked people to do that in English 205. I was intimidated, a little, by the “outcomes” of this class, to write formal argumentative essays with proper MLA citation format; at first glance, there...

Reflective Essay About My Writing Analysis

...will produce a better paper if I work on it periodically rather than all at once before the due date. Writing a paper periodically allows my brain to take a rest between each night. While my brain does get a rest, writing periodically also allows me to think of new thoughts and ideas that I want to incorporate into my paper. Along with this idea, a strategy that doesn’t work as well for me is trying to do too much at once. For the Paradise Lost Analysis and British Literature Analysis, I tried to do everything in one night so I wouldn’t have to worry about it any more. This technique put even more stress on me and made me overwhelmed. Although my literary analyses seemed strong in my...

How to Succeed in Graduate School

...How to Succeed in Graduate School: A Guide for Students and Advisors Submitted to Crossroads, October 1994 Marie desJardins marie@erg.sri.com Abstract This paper attempts to raise some issues that are important for graduate students to be suc¬cessful and to get as much out of the process as possible, and for advisors who wish to help their students be successful. The intent is not to provide prescriptive advice – no formulas for finishing a thesis or twelve-step programs for be¬coming a better advisor are given – but to raise awareness on both sides of the advisor-student relationship as to what the expectations are and should be for this relationship, what a graduate student should expect to accomplish, common problems, and where to go if the advisor is not forthcoming. Introduction This article originated with a discussion I had with several women professors about the prob¬lems women face in graduate school, and how more women could be encouraged to go to grad¬uate school in computer science. Eventually, the conversation turned to the question of what these women could do in their interactions with women students to support and encourage them. I volunteered that over the course of my gradu¬ate career I had collected a variety of papers and e-mail discussions about how to be a good ad-visor, how to get through graduate school, and issues facing women. They were eager to get this material, and I told them I would sort through it when I got a chance. After mentioning...

About Me

...07 28 August 2015 About Me While I was growing up, I would watch college softball on TV with my dad almost every day. Usually once or twice a week we would go to the field, throw a ball, and hit around. I’ve loved it ever since. I play softball here at Limestone College, therefore I am crazy athletic. During high school I was lucky to win MVP on the softball team all 4 years of attending my high school. All kinds of sports interests me really. I currently work at Strawberry Hill USA in Chesnee, South Carolina as an Ice Cream Scooper. Trust me I’m not complaining, we get free ice cream! My favorite subject in school is math, and following would have to be science. I hope to major in Health Care Administration and minor in Business Administration. I am a very energetic and outgoing person. I like to have a good time when I’m involved in any kind of activity; you’ll very rarely see me in a bad mood. I like to live on edge, such as going camping in extravagant places, get spontaneous tattoos and piercings, and even cliff jumping. I hope to go sky diving very soon. My family is very important to me; they’re always there for me when I need them. I’m a very creative person; so writing off the top of my head comes easy to me. When it comes to more research based papers, I do tend to struggle with citing my references properly. I like writing analytical papers about fiction based stories or short narratives that interest me. Usually...

Gathering Research Data Paper

...Gathering Research Data Paper Hayley Lacy CJA/334 April 11, 2016 Rhonda Grant Gathering Research Data Paper     Police officers are viewed by the masses of Americans that they are sworn to protect as the men and women in blue. They have sworn to protect the innocent and keep them from harm’s way and in turn do much more than that for their community. It takes an extraordinaire person to be a police officer. They are someone who is willing to dedicate their lives, health and safety in order to protect those who depend on them. In this paper we will attempt to address and research an interest that has been voiced concerning police officers and their jobs. In this paper we will state the purpose behind our proposed research. We will inform you of the interview structure we will use and we will inform you as to some of the questions that we would ask. We will give distinct advantages of a qualitative data-gathering strategy, such as participant observation, over more qualitative approaches. We will inform you when conducting survey research the importance of informed consent and confidentiality. It is a common conception that police officers choose their particular career path simply because they are inheriting a family member’s desire. They choose to be an officer because their father or their mother or a relative was an officer. It is a common conception that officers are not chosen they are inherited and expected to be from family. This area of interest is something...
