Know This Before You Eat Another Flaming Hot Cheeto Ah, Flaming Hot Cheetos, the central snack for all Americans alike. Often found in children’s lunch boxes, you could buy these packets of chips at any store you could think of - 7-Eleven, Walmart, or just about any liquor store off the street. Many kids, even me, rave about this popular and delicious snack - pop one in and many find eating it will make them feel pure bliss. Hot Cheetos could satisfy any craving or appetite. Sure, Flaming Hot Cheetos could be the solution to any kid’s lunch or a perfect snack. Yet, after a short period of research, this isn’t true. Innocent children like me don’t know what’s happening to us after we shove down bags of this snack into our bodies. Many health …show more content…
Well, I find most people will discover that the powder covering the Hot Cheetos are the spotlight of the entire snack, but it’s more than just being delicious or leaving your fingers coated with this red-colored powder. As we eat this snack, this red residue may cause a discoloring of our feces, especially when we make a trip to the restroom. Parents, children, and even doctors alike may confuse this as bleeding from the intestines. Even if you don’t feel immediate pain while you are eating this snack, “you will still feel pain when the feces is released: the powder is still active” and may give you a “flaming” sensation (Thrashersaf). As many doctors will say, whatever you put in your body, it will show eventually, whether it be healthy or unhealthy …show more content…
For example, the ingredients of the Hot Cheeto recipe consist of many different spices and unhealthy “flavoring”. Eating this have caused many people to develop gastritis, or having an “irritation of the lining of the stomach” leading to “bloating, burning, vomiting and even hiccups.” Though these effects may be temporary, many people who consumed this small snack have been set up for peptic ulcer disease (Dador), or have even complained about pain in the upper abdomen, as well as pain in their chests (Castillo). Therefore, for the benefit of being healthy, we should stay away from this problematic snack. But just when many of us thought you could quit eating these Flaming Hot Cheetos right away, it’s not all that easy. Based on my findings, Hot Cheetos are very addictive, as they are made up of ingredients that could even be compared to illegal drugs, like nicotine (Castillo). Consuming one Cheeto will affect the entire body. The resulting brain responses will make your body can’t help but take in more bags of these addicting chips (Robinson). So, it’s not as easy as you thought it would be to quit eating this, isn’t

...For my unhealthy food, I chose Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Flamin’ Hot Cheetos are considered a snack or type of chip. Their overall nutrition facts are not healthy. One serving size is 1 ounce or 28 grams, which is about 21 pieces of Cheetos. Each serving contains 160 calories, form which 99 of those calories are fat. The total fat is 11 grams, saturated fat is 1.5 grams with zero milligrams trans-fat. Although there is no cholesterol, there is plenty of sodium found in Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. One serving has 250 milligrams of sodium. The total carbohydrates are 13 grams, with a dietary fiber of .5 grams. There is one gram of protein and zero milligrams of calcium. As one could see, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos are not the healthiest snack choice. There is almost little to none nutritional value in them. The only component close, would be the one gram of protein. Although, comparing that to the rest of the nutrition facts, it should not be taken too much into account. The fact that 99 of the calories are from fat is a big indicator that this snack is unhealthy. The 11 grams of fat make up 17 percent of the daily percentage a...

Cheetos Puffs Lab

...Qualitative data: The Cheetos Puffs burn spread throughout the entire snack-food, while the Lays Potato Chip was very slow. The Lays Potato Chip released much more pungent odor when burned than the other foods. Processed Data The calculation used to determine, using the raw data, the calories per gram in each of the trials is: q = [(mass of water in grams)(specific heat of water)(Change in temperature in Celsius)]/1000 then divide that by grams of snack food lost. An example of how to do this calculation using the first trial from Table 1 which is Cheetos Puffs. Mass of Water = (119.010 g), Specific Heat of Water = (1.0 cal/g °C), Change in Temperature which is TFinal – TInitial = ∆T equals (21.1 °C), Grams of food lost = (1.110 g). So,...

...Marketing Communication and Personal Selling CHIPS AND DIPS ARE HARDLY BIG-TICKET ITEMS. MOST PEOPLE DON’T THINK TWICE ABOUT THE BAG OF CHIPS OR CHEESE SNACKS THAT THEY THROW INTO THEIR SHOPPING CARTS. REVENUES AT FRITO-LAY, A SUBSIDIARY OF PEPSICO, GREW BY MORE THAN $600 MILLION—6 PERCENT—IN ONE YEAR ALONE. ANNUAL WORLDWIDE SALES OF FRITO-LAY SNACKS ARE OVER $10 BILLION. IMAGINE SELLING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN CHIPS A YEAR! Americans know Frito-Lay brands at sight: Doritos, Fritos, Lay’s, Cheetos, Ruffles, Rold Gold, and Baked Lay’s, to name its most popular. But how did Frito-Lay get where it is today? How has the company developed such astounding sales and loyalty among chip aficionados? Much of it has to do with Frito-Lay’s promotional plan, encompassing advertising, sales promotion, public relations, and personal selling. With a $30 million a year U.S. ad budget, Frito-Lay has plenty of opportunity to get its message of great-tasting snacks across to consumers. Frito-Lay has been a long-time repeat advertiser during the annual Super Bowl telecast, shelling out more than a million dollars for just one ad during the program. The vast audience provided by the Super Bowl telecast has proved to be an excellent launching pad for Frito-Lay’s new brands, such as Baked Lay’s Potato Crisps in 1995 and Lay’s Deli Style Potato Chips in 1998. Baked Lay’s went on to become the...

...A Preface of Quotations Whoever desires for his writings or himself, what none can reasonably condemn, the favor of mankind, must add grace to strength, and make his thoughts agreeable as well as useful. Many complain of neglect who never tried to attract regard. It cannot be expected that the patrons of science or virtue should be solicitous to discover excellencies which they who possess them shade and disguise. Few have abilities so much needed by the rest of the world as to be caressed on their own terms; and he that will not condescend to recommend himself by external embellishments must submit to the fate of just sentiments meanly expressed, and be ridiculed and forgotten before he is understood. --Samuel Johnson Men must be taught as if you taught them not; And things unknown propos'd as things forgot. --Alexander Pope Style in painting is the same as in writing, a power over materials, whether words or colors, by which conceptions or sentiments are conveyed. --Sir Joshua Reynolds Whereas, if after some preparatory grounds of speech by their certain forms got into memory, they were led to the praxis thereof in some chosen short book lessoned thoroughly to them, they might then forthwith proceed to learn the substance of good things, and arts in due order, which would bring the whole language quickly into their power. --John Milton Introduction Good writing depends upon more than making a collection of statements worthy of belief, because writing is intended to...

...Part 1: Defining Marketing and the Marketing Process (Chapters 1–2) Part 2: Understanding the Marketplace and Consumers (Chapters 3–6) Part 3: Designing a Customer-Driven Strategy and Mix (Chapters 7–17) Part 4: Extending Marketing (Chapters 18–20) After examining customerdriven marketing strategy, we now take a deeper look at the marketing mix: the tactical tools that marketers use to implement their strategies and deliver superior customer value. In this and the next chapter, we’ll study how companies develop and manage products and brands. Then, in the chapters that follow, we’ll look at pricing, distribution, and marketing communication tools. The product is usually the first and most basic marketing consideration. We start with a seemingly simple question: What is a product? As it turns out, the answer is not so simple. Chapter Preview 8 Products, Services, Building and Brands Customer Value Before starting into the chapter, let’s look at an interesting brand story. Marketing is all about building brands that connect deeply with customers. So, when you think about top brands, which ones pop up first? Perhaps traditional megabrands such as Coca-Cola, Nike, or McDonald’s come to mind. Or maybe a trendy tech brand such as Google or Facebook. But if we asked you to focus on sports entertainment, you’d probably name ESPN. When it comes to your life and sports, ESPN probably has it covered.
