Organizational Behavior

...Attitude and thoughts are factors on how an individual interacts on a daily basis. These ideas can be good or bad but either way it affects how we act towards people and ourselves. In some cases we have to take a step back and analyze the reasons why we act the way we do. There are ways we can do this by writing how we feel down, having someone analyze us, or taking surveys. The LSI survey is a way we can see where we fit in amongst other individuals. This survey helps assess our personality characteristics and other traits according to how we interact in society. I took the survey to see where my personality traits rate with other people. I will go over the results and how a person can learn and change from them. The LSI survey is a circle that is broken in many parts. There are 3 areas that the circle is broken into which are satisfaction needs, task orientation, and security needs. The primary part is the satisfaction needs whereas the backup tells you what causes these traits. When it comes to the scoring of the survey I had my highest in the constructive styles 1, 2, 11, and 12. These help with self-enhancing thinking and behavior that causes satisfaction. ...1. King cares about what is happening in Birmingham because he says that what affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Birmingham is one of the most segregated city in the US at that time. No one should feel like an outsider in America, according to King. So he wanted to help them out 2. They picked a time near Easter for direct action because besides Christmas time, it’s the main shopping period of the year. They wanted to bring pressure to put on the merchants that there should be changes made. 3. He insist on direct action in Birmingham because it dramatizes the issue and rings tension to the community to make a situation so that their only choice is to negotiate 4. It’s impossible for blacks to continue to “wait” because they have been waiting for more than 340 years for change, and not a lot has changed. Waiting for them means that there’s little chance for anything to ever happen. 5. A law is unjust if it degrades a human’s personality 8. King says that everything Hitler did was “legal” because helping out Jews was considered “illegal” 9. Math Investigation

...Math Investigation of Painted Cubes Introduction I was given a brief to investigate the number of faces on a cube, which measured 20 small cubes by 20 small cubes by 20 small cubes (20 x 20 x 20). To do this, I had to imagine that there was a very large cube, which had had its outer surface painted red. When it was dry, the large cube was cut up into the smaller cubes, all 8000 of them. From there, I had to answer the question, 'How many of the small cubes will have no red faces, one red face, two red faces, and three faces? From this, I hope to find a formula to work out the number of different faces on a cube sized 'n x n x n'. Solving the Problem To solve this problem, I built different sized cubes: 2 x 2 x 2; 3 x 3 x 3; 4 x 4 x 4; 5 x 5 x 5; 6 x 6 x 6; 7 x 7 x 7; 8 x 8 x 8; 9 x 9 x 9, using multi-links. I started by building a cube sized '2 x 2 x 2'. As I looked at the cube, I noticed that all of the corners had three faces. I then went onto a '3 x 3 x 3' cube. As I observed the cube, I saw that the corners all had three faces, the edges had two, and the faces had one. I looked into this matter to see if this was true. As I went further into the investigation, I found this was true. This made it much easier for me to count the cubes, and be more systematic. Now I could carry on building the cubes, and be more confident about not missing any out. Whilst building the cubes, I also drew them and decided to color code the different faces...
