To begin with, Paul Revere was an American silversmith and a patriot. He was also an ardent colonialist. Paul was known for his bravery in protecting the safety of others. He was concerned for others safety and was was not a self centered coward. He was one of the few living witnesses to hear the first shots of of the American Revolutionary War. Revere is also known for his propaganda sketch of Boston Massacre of 1770 that helped rally the colonist behind the Revolution. In the past, he went to North Writing school in his childhood. At age twelve, he learned silversmithing from his father. He moved to Boston at the age of thirteen and was apprenticed to the silversmith, John Coney. He was an early member of the Sons of Liberty and took part in the Boston Tea Party. He warned the colonists that seven-hundred British troops were coming to Concord to arrest all of them. He was mainly known for his art and he was a french extraction. He had sixteen children with two wives. Eight with his first wife, Sarah Orne, and eight with Rachel Walker whom he married when Sarah died. He raised his kids in a townhouse that was built in 1680 after the Great Fire of 1676 destroyed the original home on the site. Eleven of his kids survived to adulthood.
