He was showing Peter the harsh reality. Peter did worship Roark. He always wanted Roark to approve his work. He always tried getting the approval and nod from Roark before he evn began anything. He relies and depends on Roark heavily to make decisions for him. Peter has worshipped Roark. Peter has even begged Roark for help. However, that doesn’t mean Peter never stabbed Roark in the back. Peter stood against him during the court case. Peter always talked behind Roark’s back. He never made Roark seem good. He used Roark, and always took credit for work that Roark did.
