Job Evaluation Technique at The Aura

The job evaluation of the employees is done on the basis of Job-grading/Job-Classification method, under which the number of grades is decided, and then the factors associated are added on.
The Aura’s Job Evaluation Policy Grade | Work Defined | 1 | Tasks of a simple nature and more physically demanding; the work is closely supervised by higher level employees. | 2 | Tasks are simple & are carried out in accordance with a definite number of clearly defined rules, and which can be clearly executed after a period of 2 weeks. The work is checked and closely supervised. | 3 | The tasks are straight forward, but they involve complicated routines & requiring some advanced knowledge & speciality. It requires complete alertness on the part of the worker, as the job is subjected to occasional checks from higher authorities. | 4 | The tasks for this grade call for independent arrangement of work, the exercise of some initiative, authority over the lower grades and which require little supervision. The perfect grade for communicating between the upper grades & lower grades, and is essentially the link of the organisations’ lower & upper grades. The person needs to have detailed familiarity with one or more branches of established SOP’s. | 5 | The tasks for this grade are routine, but the tasks involve a greater degree of risk & responsibility, including the readiness to answer non-routine queries & exercising some measure of control & authority over 4 grades of employees. | 6 | The tasks include non-routine work of the highest significance in running the basic structure and framework of the property. The tasks include the coordination of several lower grade functions & a lot of functional control over the property. This non-routine work involves a lot of risk-taking & responsibility & coupled with extensive knowledge about the area of work. | 7 | The General Manager has the work of the highest possible order, and is responsible for the smooth running of the property. The GM has to be a specialist in what he does, and has to be a leader of the highest capability. |
