...Marketing Plan Situation Analysis OrigAudio; a small company that specialize in audio accessories that make music on the go possible. Unlike other companies their customizable products offer a way for customers to showcase their creativity and style. (Szymczak, 2010) This reputation of product customization works as one of OrigAudio business strengths as it sets their products apart from other audio accessory products. Having this unique selling position is crucial for a brand like OrigAudio, as being apart of a booming personal audio market comes with the threat of fierce competition like Skullcandy, Phillips and Beats who all create similar products. (Luchies, 2014) But already being apart of this booming market also works in OrigAudio’s favour. It makes the opportunity of introducing new products easier as they’ve already penetrated the market and consumers already have their attention. The continual advances of society’s technological environment puts pressure on OrigAudio to align their products and marketing strategies with these changes. Technology has changed the way people consume media and advertising with the main place of consumption being an online or digital source instead of the traditional adds in the paper or magazines. (DeMers, 2013) Also, the explosive growth of technological products like smartphones and tablets comes the need for complementary accessories that are compatible with new technologies. So OrigAudio continually have to innovate their products...

...There are many things to consider and tasks to complete when developing General Electrics (GE) marketing plan for the smart refrigerator. The marketing team must identify the target market of organizational buyers and consumers and the factors that influence their purchasing decisions. Current competitors, their products and, how they market these products must be analyzed. This will help GE to improve the product and ensure that its product has unique qualities. Once these tasks have been completed a strategy can begin that will develop into a marketing plan that will reach the target audience. Identify the segmentation criteria that will affect your target market selected To determine the profitability of the GE Smart Refrigerator, GE will need to conduct a preliminary study of the target market. The method behind the study is known as market segmentation. Investopedia defines market segmentation as “a marketing term referring to the aggregation of prospective buyers into groups (segments) that have common needs and will respond similarly to a marketing action” (Investopedia, n/d). This method will allow GE to identify groups of consumers and how they will react to the product and marketing campaign. Therefore, certain criteria must be met for segmentation to be successful. These criteria are substantiality, easily identified, measurability, accessibility, and responsiveness (DeFoe, n/d). To be profitable, there must be a large enough consumer base with a need for this new technology...

Effect of Marketing Audit on Organisational Performance in Selected Nigerian Fast Food

...PROJECT PROPOSAL ON EFFECT OF MARKETING AUDIT ON ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN SELECTED NIGERIAN FAST FOOD (A Case Study of MR BIGGS) BY OGUNRINDE FATIMO OLAIDE 090822049 1.1 Background to the Study In recent years, increasing pressure to reduce costs has forced many companies to radically reengineer the way they do business. This pressure is also leading marketing executives to reconsider the goals, structure, and effectiveness of their marketing arms. As a comprehensive review of a company’s market environment, the marketing audit identifies any inadequacies in overall marketing structures. It also identifies operational strengths and weaknesses and recommends the necessary changes to the company’s marketing strategies. If the marketing audits are done correctly, they will provide management with a useful and analytical tool for evaluating, measuring, motivating and revising management actions (Mylonakis, 2003). The growing complexity of the current market environment necessitates a more systematic scrutiny and evaluation process of the organisational preparedness to deal with the dynamic market. The existing information gathering and processing methods, generally, lack a comprehensive and integrated structure that incorporates the entire marketing function as well as providing strategic recommendations for action. The marketing audit, characterised as a systematic, comprehensive, objective, and independent approach, can assist the...
