A similar pattern of result emerged when these researchers carried out group-level or between-sample comparison. The result showed that employees earning salaries in the top half of data range reported similar levels of job satisfaction to those employees earning salaries in the bottom half of the data range. According to the researchers, this result was consisted with Gallup’s engagement research, which reported no significant difference in employee engagement by past level.
