1. Gwynn is dealing with peer and family pressure. She is struggling to make a decision because she knows what her family expects, and also what her friends want. Gwynn is the only one not in control of her thoughts. She is too worried about pleasing everyone else, instead of doing what she wants. I think the father knows his daughter is capable of reverting back to what she has been taught into making the right decisions. The quote by Dr. Phil, would be beneficial to Gwynn as she would be able to concentrate on what she truly wants, instead of trying to please everyone else and their expectations of her. 2. Weight- Weight was one of my biggest problems, and I was the main cause. I never cared about what or how much I consumed. I always knew I would have to be the one to help myself, and until recently I never really truly tried.
Finances- Another important problem would be my finances. Although most of the financial burdens were brought on by myself, I am never aware of the problems until its too late. This is a problem I am still working on now.
Break-Up- Although I was not happy in the relationship, the external source’s made me feel as if giving up would be the wrong decision. Instead of taking my own feelings into play, it ended up becoming a major issue with my everyday life in general. Once I did what I knew was right, I knew I was in control.
Diploma- Not having my diploma not only destroyed the confidence in myself but made me realize how important doing the right thing really is. Not only did the comments from the external sources tear me up inside, this was always something I knew I had to do for myself. Once I finally did it, I knew I could do anything I really wanted.
Hermit- For the last few years, I have made it a habit to confine myself to my house and workplace. A simple excuse turned into an everyday event. Low self confidence, unhappy relationship, lack of finances, and unhealthy weight all played into the part. Ive taken each problem head on and my life is changing for the best. 3. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be an adult. I admired the freedom and the knowledge that adults had. I would sit in on conversations with adults and listen for hours on end. I would be right there when they needed a wrench or dust pan. I would make sure there was an extra chair at the “adult table” no matter where we were. This was genuine to me and I believe this Rite of Passage has made me mature.
The Rite of Passage in which I merely went through the motions was to learn how to sew. I always wanted to sew because I had watched my aunt and grandma sew. I went as far as buying a sewing machine and all the necesseties required. To this day I have never touched a needle and thread.
Another Rites of Passage that I went through the motions of would be Mary Kay Beauty Cosmetics. I was lead to believe that I would go from a girl to a woman while building my own business. I proceeded to build my inventory and even went as far as having a make up party. This was not at all sincere to me as I do not wear make up. Simply went through the motions on this one as well. 4. The two good habits I have for studying would be time management, and being organized. Time management has allowed me to give myself enough time to study. Being organized helps me study and memorize content I have already learned by rewriting and rehighlighting notes. Some of my bad habits would have to be over analyzing, and being a perfectionist. When I over analyze, I usually end up confusing myself and wasting time. In being a perfectionist, I preoccupy myself with material that I know is not needed. 5. I would have to rate my mental stamina a 9. I believe if I was ever thrown in a situation with a fast response needed, I would do what I knew needed to happen. I don’t have an experience to speak of on this, although I know I would be quick on my game.

The Bioecological Model of Human Development

...This paper will discuss the effects of abortion on the women who have this procedure. For many cultures abortion is a horrible act. It is considered murder of an unborn human being. In today`s society many people still consider abortion to be an unethical practice and dangerous procedure. It is a typical conflict theory argument of social problems in today’s society. It is a conflict in society because it comes down to peoples ethical and religious stand point that is what makes up the conflict. Ethical is either it right because the fetus is in the women’s body and its her choice to choose if she wants to be a mom or not. The other side of the ethics argument czn stem from religious as well it is a life and murdering an unborn baby is wrong. There are two groups of people who fight to sway the law makers to their side the pro abortionist group and the antiabortion group (Henslin, J. M. 2011). These are commonly known as the prolife and prochoice groups. Many people though when you use these terms don’t take the group seriously they considered these people radicals. There are protesters who believe they are standing up for the unborn by murdering abortion doctors and burning down abortion clinics. The vigil-anti`s think this is justifiable due to the fact that abortion doctors are taking innocent lives and without the clinic there would be no place to have an abortion. The pro-choice group believes that abortion...
