Do not wait until it is too late, global warming is a real problem that must be confronted now. The earth has heating and cooling cycles that are natural and right now the earth is in a heating cycle. The human activities that stared in the industrial revolution had altered this cycle; however, many people do not agree with this statement. The fact is that these activities created a problem that is called global warming.
One evidence that proves that the global warming is real is the increment in the sea level. A group of individuals published an article called “Infographic: Sea Level Rise and Global Warming”. The article shows a bar graph of how the sea level increased faster in the cities on the east coast of the United States. Global average …show more content…
An organization of the government published in its website the article, “Global Climate Change Indicators.” Global average temperature shows an increase of approximately 1.4o F since the early 20thCentury2. To support this statement global average temperatures were measures from land and oceans from 1935 to 2010. The advances in technology makes more accessible to measure the changes in the temperature. Equally, there are some famous organizations in the government that have the technology to watch the changes in the temperature, for example, NASA. According to the website, “Climate Kids”, states “the ocean does an excellent job of absorbing excess heat from the atmosphere. The top few meters of the ocean stores as much heat as Earth's entire atmosphere5.” The changes is the temperature can affect the life of the organism living in the ocean. For example an organism that cannot adapt to the new temperature dies, it induces a change in the food chain. In some parts of the ocean, krill populations have dropped by over 80 percent6. The decrease in the population of krill is an effect of the global warming. The animals living in the ocean are affected by this decreased in the population of krill because they have less food to eat. The fishers are also affected by this decreased in the population of krill because it is more hard to find the
