I have researched your questions with regard to ethical compliance according to the ABA Model Rules on what is permissible to include in the firm website. The following are my findings. Please let me know if you have any additional questions regarding this matter. 1. Does the website have to list the state where s/he is licensed to practice?

Yes, the website needs to state the states each attorney is licensed to practice. First and foremost, the intent of the website is to make it user friendly for the firm’s primary audience. The website needs to be organized and provide key points. A major key point would be states licensed to practice. Any communication regarding a lawyer’s services needs to be clearly stated to avoid any misconception of Unauthorized Practice of Law.

Rule 5.5 Unauthorized Practice of Law; Multijurisdictional Practice of Law
(b) A lawyer who is not admitted to practice in this jurisdiction shall not:
(1) except as authorized by these Rules or other law, establish an office or other systematic and continuous presence in this jurisdiction for the practice of law; or
(2) hold out to the public or otherwise represent that the lawyer is admitted to practice law in this jurisdiction.
Rule 7.1 Communications Concerning A Lawyer’s Services
A lawyer shall not make a false or misleading communication about the lawyer or the lawyer's services. A communication is false or misleading if it contains a material misrepresentation of fact or law, or omits a fact necessary to make the statement considered as a whole not materially misleading.

2. Can the attorney list a legal

...experiences as they transition from a role of a follower to that of a leader. In efforts to better explain leader development and how Christian leaders must recognize lessons in life, Clinton develops a model that is based on research he has conducted on several Christian leaders to include A.W Tozer and Dawson Trottman. From the lives of these exceptional Christian leaders, the author uncovers five different phases of development that leaders experience while growing within themselves and maturing. In the first three of the five, sometimes six, phases it is important for readers to understand that “God’s work is primarily in the leader, not through him or her” (Clinton 2012 p.45). The first initial three phases, the sovereign foundations phase, inner-life growth phase and ministry maturing phase, were created to all the leader to form a foundational structure for themselves, where they strengthen relationships with their environment, family and most importantly God. Post-it, the original inventor of ‘sticky notes’ have seen other competitors entering the market, yet having little success in toppling Post-it as the market leader. This is the section you need to work on the most, to increase your word count and extend the overall discussion. Structure, communication, referencing/bibliography The structure is generally ok, with an introduction, and a conclusion. You need to work on some of the in between sections as the essay jumps between ideas of outlining theories, linking some of the theories briefly with The Incredibles, and then adding in extra facts about animation and box office sales. These discussions need linking further (see notes on analysis above). You are referencing well in the text, however, you need to make sure you are referencing all texts e.g. Christopher Volger’s work is mentioned and not referenced and also make sure you are referencing the films...

Leadershio Plan

...BUSA414 - Understanding Organizations Through People Assignment 3: Personal-Learning Implementation Plan Values, Culture & Work-Life-Balance – Bringing Learnings to Life By Jonathan D Jensen March 22, 2015 This paper explores concepts and understandings of three topics from BUSA514 course material, and an implementation plan detailing initiatives to apply learnings on three topics both personally and organizationally. The three topics addressed in this paper are, Values, Organizational Culture, and Stress/Work-life balance. Each topic including, actions for implementation, will be discussed in turn. Values Values are standards or principles of behavior that an individual or corporation professes to be important and to live by. They set a standard of conduct. Corporate values, as defined by Van Lee, Fabish, & McGaw, (2005), are “a corporations institutional standards of behavior.” (P3.). A clear set of values can act as a moral compass. Society believes that individuals, corporations should adhere to a certain standard of behavior, but how does a corporation’s adherence to its values influence business performance? According to Val Lee et al., “the majority of companies have difficulty connecting values to operational results” (p10). Values can be somewhat intangible, making it difficult to measure a return from them – “Return on Values” (ROV). Despite apparent challenges in measuring ROV, most companies today strongly believe in “The Value of Corporate Values”...

Employment-at-Will

...Assignment 1: Employment-At-Will Doctrine LEG500 – Law, Ethics, and Corporate Governance Employment-At-Will Employment at will was installed in United States labor law during the Industrial Revolution in the late 1800’s. Initially without modifications, employment at will meant that a worker who labored for an unspecified time labored at the wishes of the owner. However, lacking a clause in an agreement, either participant may possibly end the employment without a motive. At first sight, employment at will seemed to be an impartial policy that gave the owner and the worker a way out of an unwanted working relationship. Nevertheless, the policy actually worked to the advantage of the owner, the person who typically has the upper hand in the relationship (Zachary, 2012, p. 21). This does not insinuate that managers can randomly terminate workers with no good faith consultation, equality, and unbiased procedures. Managers have to express an honest attempt to rectify the worker’s performance or the additional problems that led to firing the employer. “Because we have at will employment” it shall not be exercised as grounds to terminate a worker (Heathfield, n.d.). As the manager, I must analyze the employment-at-will doctrine and determine what, if any, exceptions and liabilities exist before taking any action in regards to the following scenarios: 1. John posted a rant on his Facebook page in which he criticized the company’s most important customer. John can legally...

Enron

...Trading in Valhalla, New York. After the merger between HNG and InterNorth, the Valhalla office, originally established by InterNorth seemed all but forgotten until quarterly and annual reports were due. Supervisors Tom Harding and Steve Sulentic were rarely on-site, preferring the comfort of offices in Houston. Louis Borget who established and operated the trading business was an autocratic manager, receiving excessive incentive payment for profitable performance. Between 1984 - 1986, Valhalla continued to report profits in the emerging oil trading industry. A call to Enron in Houston by Apple Bank would shatter the false sense of security regarding Valhalla. An ensuing investigation by Arthur Andersen, an accounting firm employed by Enron, failed to produce concrete evidence of misappropriation within Valhalla. Questionable practices were identified, but Enron failed to react appropriately to this information. CEO Lay was able to persuade key executives within Enron and the board of directors to keep running Valhalla offices, with minor changes in personnel. Mick Seidl, unhappy with Lay’s influence over the board, called Mike Muckelroy to investigate Valhalla. Muckelroy’s investigation would become the tipping point regarding Valhalla. With a secret set of books discovered, fraudulent trading entities identified and $1 billion of hidden debt revealed, this obscure office of 40 employees almost bankrupt the giant Enron Corporation. After the collapse of Enron...

Communicating the Change

...Communicating the Change Aaron A. Czupryn aaczupryn@yahoo.com HRM-587 Managing Organizational Change Professor John Dibenedetto 08/17/2013 Explanation of Spreadsheet Communication Plan. As the goal of this assignment I have set out to develop a realistic communications plan for Starbucks concerning its organizational changes. The goal of the plan is to reach all stakeholders that will be affected by the upcoming changes and make sure that a common language is being used throughout the plan. The stakeholders’ that I have identified through my research includes the following: board of directors, senior management team, district managers, store managers, shift supervisors, baristas (employee), shareholders, vendors, and contractors. The timeline of communication would begin with the initial communication being sent out by the CEO to the board of directors, senior management, and district managers. The district managers would then forward the communication to the store managers and shift supervisors, who would then pass on the information to the baristas (employee). Two separate communications would be sent in conjunction with the first. The first of these communications would originate from the information sent to the board of directors by way of the CEO. The board of directors would forward the communication in its entirety or omit any non-essential information to the shareholders. The communication would inform them of all upcoming organizational changes so...
