Standard 1
A school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by the school community.
Knowledge
The administrator has knowledge and understanding of:
1. Learning goals in a pluralistic society
2. The principles of developing and implementing strategic plans
3. Systems theory
4. Information sources, data collection, and data analysis strategies
5. Effective communication
6. Effective consensus-building and negotiation skills

1. The educability of all
