Just as two very different threads woven in opposite directions can form a beautiful tapestry, so can your two lives merge together to form a very beautiful marriage. To make your marriage work will take love. Love should be the core of your marriage; love is the reason you are here. But it also will take trust - to know in your hearts that you want the best for each other. It will take dedication - to stay open to one another, to learn and to grow together even when this is not always easy to do. It will take faith - to always be willing to go forward to tomorrow, never really knowing what tomorrow will bring. And it will take commitment - to hold true to the journey you both now pledge to share together. Now, would you both please turn and face each other and hold hands. Chris, Do you take Katie to be your Wife? ("I do") Do you promise to love, honor, cherish and protect her, forsaking all others and holding only unto her? How to Make a Cake

...make a perfect cake: 1. Preparation 2. The Cake Mix 3. Putting the Cake Together 4. Enjoy Step 1: Preparation The most important part of baking a cake is the preparation that must be done before you start. First get out all the ingredients needed to make the cake and separate the cake mix ingredients from the other ingredients that you will need later on, except the two mixing bowls and the mixer, which will be needed to make the cake mix. Then you need to use Pam to spray the two 9 x 13 inch round pans, so that the cake won’t stick and can be dumped from the pan once it has been baked. Finally pre-heat the oven to 350F. Step 2: The Cake Mix Now it is time to make the cake mix that will be used to make the cake. (This is the stuff that amateurs get from the cake box at the store) Jesse Long Tuesday, April 24, 2012 10:26:12 AM ET 04:0c:ce:d2:70:d6 In the mixing bowl add the 2 1/4 cups of flour, 1 cup of sugar, 3 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, 1/2 a cup of milk, and the 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. After all these ingredients are in the bowl stir with a regular spoon until all the ingredients are blended together a little bit (about 10 stirs), then beat the mixture for one minute with the mixer to create your cake batter. Next in a separate bowl, beat the egg whites and add 1/2 cup of sugar. Use a whisk to beat the egg whites and sugar together for 1 to 2 minutes. After the egg whites...

Universalist Marriage

...great celebration and reverence, on which we come together before before the Universe to recognize and commemorate the sacred love and dedication shared between these two people. It is wonderful to have family and friends here to join us today. The bride and groom would like to thank their guests for being here, and would like you to know that each of you were invited here on this day because you have played an integral part in their intertwining lives. Marriage is, truly, a magical gift. As Mark Twain noted, "Marriage makes of two fractional lives a whole, and it gives to two purposeless lives a work [...] it gives to two questioning natures a reason for living, and something to live for; it will give a new gladness to the sunshine, a new fragrance to the flowers, a new beauty to the earth, a new mystery to life." In the time that groom and bride have spent together, they've built the sturdy foundation for a lifelong relationship. After a great deal of thoughtful consideration, they have decided to bind themselves to one another for the rest of their lives. May you all remember and cherish this sacred ceremony, for on this day, with love, we will forever bind groom and bride together. Family Blessing Minister: Who gives this bride today? Bridal Companion: I do. Speak Now Minister: If there is anyone in attendance who has cause to believe that this couple should not be joined in marriage, you may speak now or forever hold your peace. ...B41 if there is a match to J7 the it will return the value in the cell beside it from column C. For example say B22 has the same information as J7 then it would return to you what is in C22. The 2 in the formula refers to the column in the selected range B4:C41 but you can expand on this. For example you can say D2:Z54 and all you have to do is tell it what column you want so if you wanted what was in column K then you would put an 8. Remember this formula will be in a cell that is not involved with the formula. With this formula you will be putting your information you want to look up in J7 and the results will be displayed in the cell that you have this formula. In the beginning of this statement I told you this is a vertical lookup function well if you change the V to an H it will then become a horizontal lookup function. SO if this was a horizontal lookup function then the formula would look like this. =HLOOKUP(J7,B4:Z5,2,FALSE) this would search for J7 on row 4 and display what is on row 5. =IF(ISBLANK(B8),"",IF((AND(H8>$B$1,K8>$B$1)),"NO","YES"))      - Okay this formula is a little bit more advance what we have here is a combination of 2 formulas together. The first part of the formula is the same as the 1st formula I explained. As I also explained you can put whatever you want on the 2nd...

Understanding Islam

...misconceptions of other people’s religions are common and explain in detail why or why not. Fourth, I will recommend at least one step that could be taken to help minimize misconceptions that people have in regards to other religions. I hope, through the reading of my field research report, to provide a stronger sense of understanding and receptiveness that I now have for other religions to the reader. Misconceptions of Islam In order to discuss the misconceptions that surround Islam, we must first delve into understanding what the word “Islam” actually means. “The word "Islam" means peace and submission. Peace means to be at peace with yourself and your surroundings. Submission means to submit to the Will of God. A broader meaning of the word "Islam," is to achieve peace by submitting to the Will of God” (Athar, 2012, Common Misconceptions about Islam, para.3). There are two main misconceptions that I have had towards Islam. These include the support and promotion of terrorism through Islam, and the oppression of women within the Islamic faith. Both of these misconceptions are something that I have struggled with and have now begun to understand why they are simply not true....

That speech was his final one but yet the most important speech of all. Even though Martin Luther’s speech was 54 years ago, his meaning still stands today as a “new age” for America. In his speech he uses rhetorical devices, ethos, pathos, and logos to help add meaning to his speech, and he also gives a patriotic tone to highlight the importance of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”...

Haltime in America

...global financial downturn and almost lost it all. Nearly 4.5 million employees were laid off, including my father, and numerous factories were forced to close. The Big 3, also known as Detroit’s three, Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler, reported sales that plummeted drastically, placing them on the brink of bankruptcy. Currently, Americans are stuck in ‘halftime’. Delivering an emotional jolt back into reality, aside from the humorous Super Bowl commercials, Clint Eastwood reminds all Americans that it’s halftime in America, and the second half is about to begin. Aside from all the tragedy, Eastwood states, “all that matters now is looking ahead and finding a way forward.” It’s time to move away from this devastating economic crisis and move forward in our future. Clint Eastwood, a renowned cinema icon, appears in the first full minute in Chrysler’s “Halftime in America” commercial without even seeing him. He begins explaining how it is halftime during the Super Bowl, but also halftime in America. Describing Chrysler’s credibility and ideology with ethos, Eastwood’s role in this commercial is quite important, although some may not realize it. As leading actor in the film Gran Torino, Eastwood played the role of a retired Ford Motor City factor worker. This same character delivers Chrysler’s message, setting the tone, in Eastwood’s well known ‘gruff’ voice. Although both teams are now discussing how they’re going to come together and win in the second half, Eastwood mentions...

Plea to the Mankind

...Flowers were taking on the gentle air's strike. I moved ahead and stopped, Then held my head up, A very peculiar scene struck my eyes, Should i call it man and God's mix-up? Two peacocks on the roof tops, Of a common house which now stands divided, Rarely will one find those birds, In a place like this, which they totally avoided. Bewildered of the situation I was, Went to one of the house, Rang the bell gently, Out came a man together with his spouse. I introduced myself, so did they, Then I continued with my dismay, Peacocks as pets, are they? Was my first doubt, and their faces went gray. 'Yes' was their abrupt reply, Trying to hide the fact, That peacocks were denied the freedom, Their rights were no more intact. Calmly I continued with my dilemma, Calmly did they answer hence, We were two brothers, Who are now separated by hearts and this fence. It was indeed, but not only the ground, The roof also stands parted, And what about the fate of the peacocks? Now my curiosity was ignited. When we were together in happy days, We had bought a pair of them, Together they danced, together they remained, But now they are also refrained. The feud of the human, Had drilled into the fortune of nature, I was deeply hurt and tempestuous, And I departed immediately, before I lost my temperature. My departing mood was opposite to my...

Leadership Autobiography

...doing it, I am fighting for it, in the means of daily improvement; because I am already clear and positive about this truth, if I don’t strive strong enough, and stretch myself to my fullest metal capacity, I would not accomplish my marked desire and objective of leading the way for me, and then, only at that point; direct people around me, toward that same direction. My conduct has an important role here, right now; and there is no time to waste, since I am dealing with the more basic essence of leadership as a complex human process it is, I am talking about individuality. Leadership starts from my inner-being; it is a natural force trying to move out and produce positive outcome; and it has the need to be comprehend into its immediate context. In essence, the way I see myself right now, my goals, my profession and my own perception of my environment; reflects on the people around me. That is why I have to behave in the direction to which I see my followers going with me, because if they don’t go, then I stop the whole process as well. We need to do it together; and I do not need to think of it as if it was an optional motivation, but a definitive one, a real necessity that is leading this whole process in my life at this moment, and because my behavior as leader is as blood for my body. That is the importance level I am personally assessing to this vital aspect today as a...
