On March 31, 2015 Aaron Schock quit congress when question arose about how he spent his office allowance and campaign cash. The term started to fall apart in the 4th term which congressman Schock gave stories about redecorating an office that was posted in the Washington. Questions soon surfaced over his travels reimbursements and property dealing with donors and over lavish trips on official funds. There were also a number of suspicious expenditures of spurred ethics. Complaints for liberal learning citizens for responsibility and ethics in Washington. The office of Congressional ethics opened an investigation into Schocks spending practices on Feb. 28, 2015. They begin to contact people in Schock orbit. The panel does not have subpoena. The office of Congressional typically precedes a formal investigation by the House of Ethics Committee. He was charged with 11 ethic violations pertaining to his finances. * He misused his staff and official letterhead to raise donations in the millions from charities and chief executives for a college wing named after him. * He was housing his political committee in his rent controlled apartments in Harlem. * He was not paying property taxes on a villa he owned in the Dominican Republic. * He also hid hundreds of thousands of dollars in personal finances. I agree with the verdict on Charles B. Rangel being guilty on 11 counts of ethical violations. These poor decisions that Charles made brought dishonor on the house of representatives. In the republican’s effort to recapture the house, they used Mr. Rangel’s case to symbolize democratic wavering on the promise to “drain the swamp” which was a part of revamping the congressional ethics process. Because of Mr. Rangel’s age (80), he was only censured and not expelled from the congress. I think he should have been kicked out of congress completely. Being censured only keeps him from making decisions, it doesn’t cut off his money supply which was the reason why he got these violations in the first place; being greedy.
