All courses for the academic year 2013/2014 will cost €500 except for Sound Engineering and Culinary Arts which will cost €800.

For all courses except for Sound Engineering and Culinary Arts
The fee of €500 is broken into two parts, the first €300 is a registeration fee the other €200 is a Programme Participation Contribution. The Programme Participation Contribution is refundable to the student on registeration or once they prove they are exempt.

Enrolmeent Terms and Conditions
All students who are offered a place must pay the full by the dare indicated on their offer letter. Full payment of thr fee guarentees a student on the course that they have been offered, where €200 of this fee is a government levy and is refundable for medical cards holders. A student who does not pay the fee by the due date will lose their place on the course.
No cash payments will be accepted. Online payment with a Debit/Credit card only.

Registration Days
Registration Days are on 29th of January and 26th of February between 2pm and 4pm.

Graduation
The graduation ceremony takes place in Dunboyne Castle Hotel in mid-May usually on the night of last exams. This is a cap and gown affair where you recieve a completion certificate from Dunboyne College.

Attendance Policy
The point of the attendance policy is to encourage and support students to attend and also to monitor attendance.

Student Responsibility
Students are required to attend all classes in all moduleson a course. The loss of one or more modules may affect a students progression.

Student Code of Conduct
All students that enrol in DCFE is giving a commitment as an individual and as a member of the college, to behave in an appropriate manner.
Every Student and Staff member has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

Repeat Policy.
In some cases students may be allowed to repeat modules in a subsequent year to achieve a higher result. Two interviews for repeat students will be held. Specific documents will be needed fo the 'special' interview.

Refund Policy
Full payment of course fees guarantees a place on the student's chosen course. All students can claim a full refund for their course up to the 20th September. Call 01-2026577.to request a refund. No cash refund.

Privacy Policy
No information received by DCFE will be passed on to a 3rd party.

Health and Safety
All students and staff of DCFE must adhere to the Healt and Safety. Welfare at Work Act 2005.

Policy and Procedures for Assignents, Assessments and Exams.
Assessment.
The majority of the courses in the college have continuous assessment. This includes wriiten examinations, assignments, reports, oralpresentations, skills demonstrations and portfolios.
Grading Scheme
80-100% = Distinction.
65-79% = Merit
50-64% = Pass
0-40% = Unsuccessful

Rules for Exams Exam fees must be fully paid beofre any student can sit an exam. ALL PHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF WITHIN THE EXAM All personal items must be put into bags and then placed at the door of the exam centre. Sharing of equipment is not allowed. Strictly no communincation between students is allowed at any time during the exam. Do not turn your exam paper over until instructed by the exam supervisor.

Plagiarism: a piece of writing that has been copied from someone else and being presented as their own work.
To avoid plagiarism you must reference your own work.

College Administration Office
The college administrations officeis open between 10:00am – 3:00pm Monday – Friday.

CAO Deadlines
CAO applications for Third Level courses close on the 20th of January (for reduced fee applicants) and 1st February for normal applicants.
Change of mind opens on May 5th whereby students can change their course choices for free up to July 1st.
