1) The first thing which Mr. Weed is forgetting is that every business involves some kind of risk. He has been taking all the precautions he can to protect his customers and community. Business cannot be held responsible for all other general things or natural accidents. Also, this division has been making as much profit as all other divisions combined. They can use a portion of this profit for some kind of pesticides awareness campaign to educate their customers before and after the treatment of lawn to protect them. Mr. Weed should also realize that he is helping the community by giving jobs to all those people who work for the division. Also, if people start doing all these things at home without proper training they might end up getting hurt, so Mr. Weed is just helping them by protecting them from getting hurt.
2) If Mr. Weed thinks that he is doing something wrong then he should definitely close the division because it’s just going to give him stress and tension. This might give him health related issues and nothing can be more important than one’s health. He might even have sleepless nights which might affect his other divisions in turn because he won’t be able to focus on his work. They might also have more court cases in the future which might cost them more than what their profit is so it’s better to close the division before it incurs a loss. It can also have a negative effect on the reputation for other divisions. To improve the overall company profits they can come up with some new organic approach to lawn care which doesn’t harms animals or other supplies. They can also increase their prices a little bit and advertise their brand more.
3) Technically the business owner only bears the responsibility of law. On a personal level all the owners are much more responsible than this. Also being responsible towards customer, employees, suppliers etc. makes

Kehkha Department of Agricultural Economics Engineering, University of Zabol, Zabol, Iran Abstract: Some activities of project are critical in the sense that delay in their commencement will delay the overall project completion time. Therefore, management and scheduling of projects is inevitable. In this paper, project scheduling in agriculture, for establishing 300 hectares grape garden in Agricultural Research Center of University of Zabol, is carried out by CPM (Critical Path Method) and PERT (Program Evaluation Review Technique) methods. Results show that the minimum completion time of this project, based on using Normal time and PERT method is 390 days and 364.67 days, respectively. Also the results obtained from employing CPM method indicate that the cost of reducing the project completion time to 365 days is 23643530 Rials. Key words: Project scheduling % CPM % PERT % Agriculture INTRODUCTION Project scheduling and control refers to the planning, scheduling and control of projects, which consist of numerous activities. Thematic units provide students with fiction and non-fiction selections to read and respond to. There is also a detailed description of the reading and writing activities to be included with each text selection and whether the selection is to be used as a read-aloud, independent reading, or in a listening center. Writing projects give students practice with the writing process culminating with collaborative group projects and published pieces. Rationale This thematic unit plan demonstrates the ability to create a unit study including literacy components in content areas. This plan also reflects the teacher understanding of how students learn and must be provided opportunities to read and write in authentic ways in order to demonstrate learning. This meets the requirements for course standards through the completion of the thematic unit demonstrating the understanding of literacy standards that must be addressed in a comprehensive literacy classroom through writing, reading, as well as the understanding that learning must take place in an environment...

Copyright © 2014, Richard Ivey School of Business Foundation Version: 2014-09-11 In August 2006, Global Hyatt Corporation opened the world’s first Hyatt Place hotel just outside Chicago in Lombard, Illinois. The Lombard location was the first Hyatt Place-branded hotel to open following Global Hyatt Corporation’s recent acquisition of AmeriSuites, an upscale chain of all-suite business-class hotels, from affiliates of the Blackstone Group hotel chain. The hotel corporation was scheduled to open more than 140 additional Hyatt Place hotels that year and the next in the United States as many AmeriSuites properties continued to undergo renovation and repositioning under Hyatt’s newest selectservice brand. After acquiring AmeriSuites and rebranding it, the leadership of Global Hyatt Corporation was also thinking about the internationalization of new brands. “Growth potential in the upscale limited service category is significant both in the U.S. and internationally. Hyatt will analyze opportunities for expanding the new brand in strategic markets around the world,” announced Steve Goldman, Hyatt’s executive vicepresident of acquisitions...

Diversification Rate

...BREVIA Recently Formed Polyploid Plants Diversify at Lower Rates Itay Mayrose,1* Shing H. Zhan,1 Carl J. Rothfels,2 Karen Magnuson-Ford,1 Michael S. Barker,3 Loren H. Rieseberg,1,4 Sarah P. Otto1 olyploidy (or whole-genome duplication) is a widespread feature of plant genomes, but its importance to evolution has long been debated. Polyploids have been postulated to be evolutionary dead ends because of the inefficiency of selection when genes are masked by multiple copies (1). However, most plant species have experienced at least one genome doubling early in their history (2), suggesting that rather than being an evolutionary dead end, polyploidy is a route to evolutionary success. A recent study (3) confirmed the ubiquity of polyploidy, with about 35% of vascular plant species being recent polyploids (“neopolyploids,” having formed since their genus arose), representing 15% of speciation events in flowering plants and 31% in ferns. It remains unknown, however, whether the abundance of polyploids is a consequence of higher diversification rates following polyploidy or of frequent polyploid formation. We estimated diversification rates of neopolyploids relative to their diploid congeners. We compiled a data set of angiosperm (n = 49) and seed-free vascular plant (SFVP, including ferns and lycophytes; n = 14) generic-level groups in which ploidy levels could be estimated from cytological and phylogenetic data (4). Over 500 ploidy shifts were inferred with a probabilistic model of...
