Jennie Finch is a softball player. She plays for the USA national softball team. Born on September the 3rd of 1980 in Bell Flower, California. Jennie parents are Doug, and Bev Finch. Jennie has two older brothers, Shane and Landon. She was raised in La Mirada with her family. She went to La Mirada High School. In high school she lettered in softball all four years, and twice in basketball and volleyball. She was captain of all three sports. As a sophomore, she was an all-California Interscholastic Federation Division II choice in softball.

Jennie started playing softball at the age of five. She started pitching at the age of eight. Her coach was her father. Jennie played for a 10-and-under traveling all-star team. Jennie and her family spent their weekend at a different diamond somewhere in Suburban Southern California. The more competitive the teams the more Jennie thrived. Jennie began her career by achieving a career high in doubles and throwing her first career no-hitter during the NCAA tournament on May 21, 1999 vs. the Taxes State Bobcats. Jennie dream and career as always have been softball and having a family of her own. For her sophomore year, Jennie was named a 2000 NFCA first team all-American and first team all Pac 10. She also threw 3 hitters. As a junior in 2001 Jennie was again named the first team for NCAA and the conference, adding the pitcher of the year award. For her final season, Jennie was named the 2002 first team for NCAA and the Pac 10 conference as well as pitcher of the year and Honda player of the year. Jennie tossed 3 no-hitter and broke the season strikeouts record. Softball in college is super hard you have to work hard every day.
