1915 Moonlight Road wasn’t just the house that the Atlanta Falcons football star Michael Vick lived in. It was the site of many kennels and sheds hidden behind the house that kept around 50 Pit Bulls, who were trained and bred to be fighting dogs. The initial raid on the house was conducted on April 25, 2007. The dogs were sent to many different shelters for months before they got moved to foster homes, volunteer services, or new shelters.
As stated before, many dogs were trained and specifically bred to be fighting dogs. Jim Gorant wrote in the book, The Lost Dogs, “The best fighters- the most aggressive and skilled- were bred to one another to enhance those traits in further generations.” The quote above explains how the dogs were picked
