Job Description of an Accountant
I am very interested in become an Accountant. Being an Accountant is normally someone who has a Bachelors education. You can also become an Accountant by doing vocational classes or by getting on the job training. There are many tasks that are to be done when you are an Accountant. You will be preparing, examining, and completing financial statements. You have to be accurate in your mathematical skills to be proficient in your job.
Accountants compute taxes owed and prepare tax forms for businesses as well as individuals. You never stop learning when you are an Accountant because anytime that there are financial law changes you have to make sure that you know any and all changes to complete your job.
You have to be up to date with the most current financial software that is out on the market to best serve your clients. You will be dealing with 10 key, computers, calculators, and multiple types of software.
There are multiple careers you can choose in the accounting field. 1. General Accounting 2. Audit & Assurance 3. Billing 4. Credit & Collections 5. Finance 6. Internal Auditing 7. Payroll 8. Tax 9. Treasury
Each category of Accounting has the same basic job description, but then you have specifications for each category that are unique just to them.
