...How far were the actions of the African Americans the main reason for the advancement of the Civil Rights in the period 1865-1980? “Power concedes nothing without demand, it never has and it never will”[1]. Said by Fredrick Douglass in 1857, an escaped slave who had bearded the brunt of the slave years. He had come to the realisation that African Americans had a fountain of “power”; however that power that they possessed would never establish anything without a “demand”. Fredrick Douglass awoke the conscious of African Americans to make them realise that wanting to be free and wanting to achieve full civil rights was not enough, neither was enduring a life under white supremacy waiting for life after death to see a new dawn .Believing and hoping was not enough. “Power concedes nothing without demand” the solution is to be willing to work hard to establish it yourself by demanding what belongs to them. However using power in order to concede civil rights was a struggle which was acknowledged by Fredrick Douglass “Without struggle there is no success”. To achieve advancement in African American Civil Rights, African Americans had to undergo a process of struggle. A rainbow is not made without rain; you can not want rain without thunder and lightening being accompanied by it. To achieve full civil rights African Americans had to pay the price along the way which was persecution, de-humanisation and scrutiny. Martin Luther King being inspired by Fredrick Douglass said “Freedom...

Part II: Write a summary. Part III: Format references consistent with APA guidelines. Part I: Matrix What is the group’s history in the United States? What is the group’s population in the United States? What are some attitudes and customs people of this group may practice? What is something you admire about this group’s people, lifestyle, or society? 1. The German Americans are the largest singles source of ancestry of individuals that are in the United States today. The German Americans settled in the United States in the late 1700’s, they came because of their religious dissenters such as the Amish who were attracted by the proclaiming of religious freedom. Even though the German Americans started coming in the late 1700’s it wasn’t until the 1830’s through 1890 the German immigrant population represented one quarter of the immigration. During World War I most of the German Americans distanced themselves away from their home land, by the ending of the twentieth century the animosity that was towards Germany fell distant. That is because of John F. Kennedy being in Berlin in 1963 and Ronald Reagan in 1987 and they both spoke of uniting Germany. Present days the immigration from Germany is between 5,00 and 10,00 annually. Some customs that the Germany Americans may practice still while...

...Bloodlines of Illuminati by: Fritz Springmeier, 1995 Introduction: I am pleased & honored to present this book to those in the world who love the truth. This is a book for lovers of the Truth. This is a book for those who are already familiar with my past writings. An Illuminati Grand Master once said that the world is a stage and we are all actors. Of course this was not an original thought, but it certainly is a way of describing the Illuminati view of how the world works. The people of the world are an audience to which the Illuminati entertain with propaganda. Just one of the thousands of recent examples of this type of acting done for the public was President Bill Clinton’s 1995 State of the Union address. The speech was designed to push all of the warm fuzzy buttons of his listening audience that he could. All the green lights for acceptance were systematically pushed by the President’s speech with the help of a controlled congressional audience. The truth on the other hand doesn’t always tickle the ear and warm the ego of its listeners. The light of truth in this book will be too bright for some people who will want to return to the safe comfort of their darkness. I am not a conspiracy theorist. I deal with real facts, not theory. Some of the people I write about, I have met. Some of the people I expose are alive and very dangerous. The darkness has never liked the light. Yet, many of the secrets of the Illuminati are locked up tightly simply because secrecy is a way...

...US Army Uniformity Essay In 1776 the British and the Continental Army, led by; Commander in Chief George Washington, fought over who would control the 13 Colonies and the future of the United States of America. During that time The British was dominating for the main reasons being; uniformity, organization, and overall military knowledge that the Continental Army clearly lacked during the first years into the American Revolution. In 1778 a Prussian Officer, General Von Steuben reported to Valley Forge to turn demoralized and unknowing men into a ready to fight, physically fit Continental Army who would later drive the British out of control over the colonies and let us go on to make the United States of America the land it is today. Even when America fought over itself in the Civil War over slavery where the enemy wasn’t the Taliban, French, German, or British but instead the North and South fighting against one another there was uniformity, military knowledge, and above all discipline still in effect. The Uniform code 670-1, Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia is the code by which a soldier should look. For example, Tattoos, how insignias can be worn, the army’s view on jewelry and many other examples. I believe this regulation falls under, “I will always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself” in the soldier’s creed. While I was at basic training, the first day my company commander had a saying for us to understand during our time there, “Its hard but it’s...

There’s increasing recognition that leadership is not solely about the leader, but about a much broader process that also includes followers and organizational environments. Being an effective leader then means understanding the nature of leadership as it applies to leading teams. Kerr and Jermier (1978) point out...
