Journal 2 1. One thing I enjoyed learning is how to play the guitar. I feel it is a good skill to have. Although learning how to play it was difficult at first, persistence and dedication led me to get better at the instrument. I’ve been playing for over a year now and I still continue to practice on a daily basis. One thing that I think separates me from someone who has never played an instrument is that I know how to play my chords and scales properly, which can make it easier to learn a new song. I think this skill is great because once one learns how to play, they will always know; it can never be taken away from them. I’ve always enjoyed playing the guitar, and I recommend anyone who likes music learns how to play an instrument.

2. I gathered the information from everywhere. Websites, TV, and relatives who play guitar. I asked them what chords and notes were and attempted to learn the rest on my own. Besides learning from those sources, I bought books and tried to learn from them. I practiced, and still practice every day in order to get better. When starting to learn, I played until my fingers were sore, now I play until I feel satisfied that I learned something. The feedback I use when playing guitar is how it sounds and how well it flows compared to when I previously played it. Although sometimes it is frustrating when it’s not going well, it is usually relaxing to play. The rewards are not much. I feel it is just something to do when you are bored.

3. By reading and writing about learning, I’ve learned that one needs the determination to get something done in order to have their dreams realized. Although it is important to strive for good grades, you should also have the desire to learn something.
