So we went past them. While we moved along we found these buttons that looked like flushing toilets we pressed the half flushed button and there opened a toilet seat and inside were snakes, heaps of them.
“I hate snakes!!” yield Indie.
So we closed the toilet seat and flushed the full button and inside was a, well actually it looked like poo to me so we took it out and the floor started to rumble.
“What’s happening?” I yelled over the roaring of the ground.
“It seems that it’s a trap everybody, move to the door over there,” yield Indie.
“Not there, that’s where we came through.”
“I knew that.” I said.
So we ran to the entrance but it had no door handle and the time is wasting, the walls are closing on us.
“Why didn’t I see that it had a sign on it, Push to open the door?”
So we pushed the door and it opened but we weren’t alone there was the ‘Cat Woman’
“Sorry for intruding, seems like you have a competition for now on,” Cat Woman smirked and went off like a feather in the air.
So we rushed to the next door and that’s when I stepped on the trap.
“INDIE, I’m kind of in trouble right now,”
“What?”
“I can’t move, if I do the pointy arrows will narrow us down, you have to leave me behind,”
“I’m not leaving you now, slowly move your foot and I’ll put this massive rock on it. Move your leg slowly.”
“Thanks, Indi I owe you one.”
So I moved my leg slowly and Indie slipped the rock on the trap. I was free so we were being careful where we stepped. Once we got out we set camp I collected some sticks for the fire and Bugs did, well nothing actually except eating his carrot and he won’t shut up for some reason, his worse than my cousin. When we got ready to go to sleep I snug up near Bugs, gosh he talks in his sleep, I just looked at the sky wondering if I ever made it out alive and seeing my parents again before I’m grounded or something I better call them and tell them I’m alright. So I dialled the home phone and mum picked up.
“Mum, hi it’s me, Rebecca. I’m sorry for not calling you so soon but I’m kind of stuck in a whole lot of trouble.” I said quietly.

“Where were you we called the cops to find you, we thought you were dead where are you I’ll come and get you home as fast as I can.”
Mum said in a relief voice.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t If I do everyone I know will be killed and it’s my fault so I’m going to make things right and find the crystal toilet and that’s it, mum.” I said in a proud voice then I hung up before I can hear a thing mum said.
“What’s up Doc,” mumbled Bugs while he is sleeping while he is sticking out his butt.
The next day we found eggs in a nest, I made scrambled eggs and carrots.
“Good morning, guys a long day is ahead.”
“Mmm is that cooked carrot smells great.”
So we travelled to this huge door and it had these strange toilet pictures on them.
“It says, flush once, twice wise, third…”
“What does that mean, Indie?”
So we flushed the toilet once and we flushed it again then I cut myself and Indie flushed it and the door opened and there it was the Crystal toilet in the middle. Bugs went in and when he stepped on one it fell down, down, down then bang on the bottom of the ground.
“Sugar plums” I said
So I ran in and it seems that I’m still alive I retrieved the Crystal toilet and I ran back as fast as I could. I made it just as I was about to celebrate that I’m still alive there was Cat Woman pointing a gun at us.
“Pass me the Crystal Toilet and I’ll set your friends free.” said Cat Woman.
“Never!” I yield.
So took the thick stick lying on the ground and swung it at Cat Woman. Knock out!!
So we bolted for it.
“Thanks kiddo I really appreciate you helping me and now you must wake up now,” Said Indie.
“What?”
So I woke up.
“Damn, it was a dream and also that means it’s not my cousins birthday today,”
So I got of the bed and checked my calendar.
“Yes, my cousins birthday is next week”
So I got quickly dressed and went to the library and checked if there was the book of the Crystal Toilet but there was no sound of that book anywhere, it looks like I was dreaming after all. Now I’m back to reality.
So that’s the end of my story yours is just begging, mine was all a dream a damn good one. Now get out of my house or I’m calling the cops.

Veronica Decides to Die

...sleeping pills from her bedside table. Instead of crushing them and mixing them with water, she decided to take them one by one, because there is always a gap between intention and action, and she wanted to feel free to turn back halfway. With each pill she swallowed, however, she felt more convinced: After five minutes the packs were empty. Since she didn’t know exactly how long it would take her to lose consciousness, she had placed on the bed that month’s issue of a French magazine, Homme, which had just arrived in the library where she worked. She had no particular interest in computer science, but, as she leafed through the magazine, she came across an article about a computer game (one of those CD-ROMS) created by Paulo Coelho, a Brazilian writer she had happened to meet at a lecture in the café at the Grand Union Hotel. They had exchanged a few words, and she had ended up being invited by his publisher to join them for supper. There were a lot of people there, though, and they hadn’t had a chance to talk in depth about anything. The fact that she had met the author led her to think that he was part of her world, and that reading an article about his work could help pass...

Mao's Last Dancer

...To the two special women in my life—my mother and my wife Mao’s Last Dancer A Wedding Qingdao, 1946 On the day of her marriage, a young girl sits alone in her village home. It is autumn, a beautiful October morning. The country air is cool but fresh. The young girl hears happy music approaching her house. She is only eighteen, and she is nervous, frightened. She knows that many marriage introducers simply take money and tell lies. Some women from her village marry men who don't have all their functional body parts. Those women have to spend the rest of their lives looking after their husbands. Wife beating is common. Divorce is out of the question. Divorced women are humiliated, despised, suffering worse than an animals fate. She knows some women hang themselves instead and she prays this is not going to be her fate. She prays to a kind and merciful god that her future husband will have two legs, two arms, two eyes and two ears. She prays that his body parts are normal and functional. She worries that he will not be kind-hearted and will not like her. But most of all she &+x worries about her unbound feet. Bound feet are still in fashion. Little girls as young as five or six have to tuck four toes under the big toe and squeeze them hard to stop the growth. It is extremely painful, and the girls have to change the cloth bandages and wash their feet daily to avoid infection. The tighter the feet are bound the smaller the feet will become. Eventually all five toes grow together...

...Praise for The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down “Fadiman describes with extraordinary skill the colliding worlds of Western medicine and Hmong culture.” —The New Yorker “This fine book recounts a poignant tragedy…It has no heroes or villains, but it has an abundance of innocent suffering, and it most certainly does have a moral…[A] sad, excellent book.” —Melvin Konner, The New York Times Book Review “An intriguing, spirit-lifting, extraordinary exploration of two cultures in uneasy coexistence…A wonderful aspect of Fadiman’s book is her even-handed, detailed presentation of these disparate cultures and divergent views—not with cool, dispassionate fairness but rather with a warm, involved interest that sees and embraces both sides of each issue…Superb, informal cultural anthropology—eye-opening, readable, utterly engaging.” —Carole Horn, The Washington Post Book World “This is a book that should be deeply disturbing to anyone who has given so much as a moment’s thought to the state of American medicine. But it is much more…People are presented as [Fadiman] saw them, in their humility and their frailty—and their nobility.” —Sherwin B.
