In this story I will compare and contrast the tone of the movie and the book of the Jumanji. This book was very exciting and lively , because of all of the events that happened in both things. I think I liked the movie better than the book the movie had more details. There was a lot of differences in the movie and book mainly because there was different events that happened. That is what I am going to explained in my compare and contrast.
In the book there was a lot of things that happened. First, the boy Peter found the game in the park by a tree. They took it home and started playing the game ,but in no time at all there was already thing happening that was strange. There was a boy going to his father's work when he got there a man showed him a shoe he left it on the running machine and it messed up the machine and he got fired. The boy went back outside and got beat up he heard thumping he went to it and found a box that had a lock on it he broke the lock and found a game called Jumanji. He took it home and put it under a chair he went to sit at the table his father told him he had to go to a schools for boys. When he got time to play the game he rolled the dice and he got sucked in the game. A few years later some more people moved in and a boy named Peter found the game. Him and his sister played it the first time they rolled a lion was on the piano the boy Alan that got suck in the game saved them. The three went to a girls house to get her to help finish the game. They got her and then they went back to play the game they all took their turns and they got a human hunter,a stampede,a monsoon,and a alligator.
