Japanese Restaurant: Kabuki As you walk into a Japanese restaurant what are some of the things that really stick out to you? Maybe the cultural decorations? Or perhaps the strong aroma of sushi and other great Japanese foods being prepared in the kitchen? Or maybe even some fun live entertainment? Whatever a certain Japanese restaurant has to offer, it should provide the customers with complete satisfaction. Kabuki Japanese restaurant does an adequate job of giving the customers a true feel for a Japanese like environment. Kabuki is a Japanese restaurant that is located on Riverpark, Boulevard in Oxnard, California in the new shopping center known by many now as “The Collection”. This food chain has been around since 1991 and it has continued to grow in the western United States. As you walk into the restaurant you will notice a very modern feel to the place with a few chandeliers and the large glass windows spread throughout the restaurant. Along with the restaurant being modern it also has some traditional Japanese touches such as the art, the classic Japanese style lamps, the fire, and even the music playing. The seating of the restaurant is in a fashion of multiple tables lined up evenly and it has a long bar table in the back for those twenty one and over. There is also a patio area to the left with outdoor heaters that has enough space to fit about forty people. The restaurant also tends to be quite busy during the late afternoon hours as most people will find themselves waiting anywhere from two minutes to even one hour or more to be seated at their appropriate table, depending on the size of the group. A Japanese restaurant should offer the customers with delicious and quality Japanese food to provide them with a true feel for a Japanese like environment. Kabuki restaurant provides their customers with a variety of different menu options such as their average priced appetizers, salads, sushi, sashimi, their large variety of different rolls, signature dishes, main entrees, soup and rice and even a decent size dessert menu. But when it comes down to what really matters, is the quality and taste of the food in this Japanese restaurant good enough to actually be worth going to? Well for starters, most people who walk into a Japanese restaurant are really interested in trying what is arguably the most popular and traditional Japanese food and that is the sushi. The sushi at the kabuki restaurant is prepared very well and it will usually always come in a long white plate with chopsticks on the side and a few sauces to go along with it such as the very popular teriyaki, wasabi, and soy sauces. After the meal is prepared and is delivered to the table
Camacho 2 then it is time to enjoy that traditional Japanese meal that you have really been waiting for. After taking one solid bite out of that sushi roll, you will realize that the quality and taste of the sushi is nothing short of delicious and what you were anticipating. The seaweed, sticky rice and tuna are wrapped perfectly together and the combination that makes for this very tasty meal is almost incomparable to any other food because of its unique form and taste. Although it would be nice if the plate would come with more pieces of sushi because the quantity is pretty small and it may not satisfy or fill up certain people. But overall the sushi itself did taste very good and was prepared nicely which could leave any customer happy and give them that feel of a true Japanese environment. A Japanese restaurant should be designed and decorated in a way to give the impression of a nice Japanese atmosphere. The Kabuki restaurant does a nice job in creating the interior and exterior of the restaurant to be reminiscent of a Japanese like environment. For example, as you walk into the door you’ll see a large glass portrait of a dragon to go along with the Kabuki logo and you’ll see that around the restaurant there are modern, yet cultural displays of art throughout the perimeter of the restaurant to make the place feel like you are really in Japan. If you really take the time to look around the restaurant then you will notice that there are also red traditional Japanese style lamps that are spread evenly around the interior of the place to also compliment

...Music 110 A Music can be heard throughout the world. It’s in every country, practiced by all and could practically be considered as a universal language. Although not all style are the same, the general idea of music can be understood by all.
