KEEP ME JESUS, KEEP ME!
Psalm 16:1-11
Why are we so comfortable in this life of sin, sorrow, tribulation, and shut downs?
We assemble ourselves often as scripture says: Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
And we ask the Lord to keep us which takes us to the request of preservation in the 16th Division of Psalms, verses 1-11.
1 Preserve me O God; for in thee do I put my trust.
Preserve is a protection from all hurt, harm, and danger that only The Good Shepherd can do!
2O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee:
3But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
“My goodness extendeth not to thee:”
David the psalmist is saying here that there is no meaning to life and no personal happiness without the Lord’s presence. You may think you there’s meaning to life and happiness but there will come a time that you will find a void or emptiness that cannot be fulfilled any other way but by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Man has no goodness to extend to God. It’s only God’s goodness that is extended to us, when we as true disciples of Christ decide to follow Him.
4Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
False gods are everywhere today. Satan worshippers actually drink blood as part of their ceremony. The drinking of blood is absolutely forbidden by God. Acts 21:25 says “As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.”

...and thank you; for covering me with the blood of Jesus Christ. I claim the protection of the blood for me Family; my finances; me home; and my spirit, soul, and body. I surrender myself completely in every area of my life to you. I take a stand against all the workings of the devil that would try to hinder me and my family from best serving you. I address myself only to the True and Living God, who has all power and control over everything. For this purpose the Son of God (Jesus) was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. Thank you Lord Jesus for destroying all satan’s work in my life, on the cross. Therefore, satan, I command you and all your demon forces of darkness, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to leave my presence. I bring the blood of Jesus Christ between you and my family; my home ; my finances ; and me spirit, soul, and body. I declare therefore that you and your wicked spirits are subject to me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Furthermore, in my own life today, I destroy and tear down all satanic strongholds and cancel every plan that has been formed against my family in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I tear down every stronghold against my mind, emotions, and body and I present myself to you Heavenly Father; a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable, which is my reasonable service. I realize that I am the temple of the Holy Spirit, and I am not my own. I have been purchased with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore I bring honor...

Biblical World View Essay

...that it was very good”. (Online excerpt, Original Creation of man in the image of god, 2013)Being created in the image of God does not just refer to physical appearance; it also refers to the total essence of God. Example 1 In this example, I will be going over leadership and the Christian foundation that we were created in the image of God. From the very beginning of our creation as humans, we were give leadership over all his creation. With leadership, in any aspect, you will possess tremendous responsibility, and power over others, and their lives. King David stated in Psalm 139 “Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous-How well we know it.” (Etzel and Gutierrez, Praxis Beyond Theory, 2012, p 61) AS Christians, one knows, without a doubt, that we are created in his image. Therefore, we have to always keep in that mindset. The Bible says “if it is teaching, let him encourage; If it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; If it is leadership, let him govern diligently; If it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. (Men’s Study Bible, NIV, Romans 12:8, 1997) I am currently enrolled for a BS in Business...

Life and Death of Jesus

...Online 29 July 2008 Death and Resurrection of Jesus To get a clear understanding of the complicated events that took place leading up to the death and resurrection of Jesus, it is first necessary to understand the background. Lots of things have been written about these courses of events. But it is sometimes difficult to combine all the details into a single story. The events of some days follow each other in calm sequence, while others are more of a swirling, splashing stream. Lots of things happen around the same time. We are dealing with two levels of events: things that actual happen and the intention behind the action. Along with the events leading to the death and resurrection, we also have divergent interests at work: interests of Judas, the Sanhedrin, the people and the disciples. Sometimes things coincide, sometimes they become entangled. For the sake of organizational purposes, we will interact: the plot against Jesus, the Passover Feast, Jesus’ trial, his approach to death and crucifixion, and the resurrection of Jesus. At first we might be lead to think only the plot to have Jesus arrested by means of a traitor (Judas). If you do more in depth studying, you will see that this does not do justice to the facts. After facing much opposition for his teaching, Jesus is betrayed by Judas Iscariot. Judas, like the other disciples expected Jesus to start a political rebellion and overthrow Rome. As...

I Am the True Vine

...the True Vine" By Sean Young Jesus Christ portrays Himself as the true vine of God to His disciples for a two-fold purpose: First, to let His disciples know that even though He would not be physically present with them always, He would send the Holy Spirit to be “with” and “in” them (John.14:17 KJV).  Second, He uses this opportunity to instruct them to remain in close fellowship with Him through the Holy Spirit that they may bear spiritual fruit, receive answers to prayer, and have fullness of joy.  In John 15:1-2, Jesus states the following: “I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener. He will take away every branch in me which has no fruit, and every branch which has fruit he makes clean, so that it may have more or bear more fruit. Jesus is telling Christians who continue to bear fruit that they will also continue to grow and prosper spiritually. The Lord will continue to purge us from all sin, in that He "makes clean" for the branch to bear even more fruit.  An example of this is in 1 John. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin”. (1John 1:7- KJV). In Romans 6:4(KJV), God's Word instructs us, that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Walking in newness of life is the same as abiding in Christ. In John 15:3-5, Jesus states “You are clean, even now,...

Jesus Reflection

...August 17, 2013 Christian Worldview Mrs. Farley Jesus Reflection Essay What I learned from the Jesus film was about his teaching. I have to say he preached a lot of good words and I wished I can see various people practice his words in society and cultural. There are some people who follow and read the Bible to start their life on a righteous path and there are some that I see our falling into sins and wrong choices in life. In the book of Matthew I think Jesus was teaching the people how to carefully listen to one another and follow the rules and they will forever parish in God’s Kingdom. The teaching goes along with cultural because families and churches can keep the traditions going and they too can teach their children and new converts what lessons Jesus has taught to follow the rules of life. In the film Jesus preach about forgiveness, and taught the people about the rules that God have provided them with. I read Matthew 5-7 and there is a rule that said “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15, ESV). In today society there are a few people who believe in false prophet hood for an example there are devil worshiper and they believe in Satan as their true God. The book of Matthew has a lot of words of wisdom and I see why my friends have such good morals, because they follow the rules. My friend’s churches have Food Drive and help out with the homeless a lot, the same situation with my Mosque...

A Love Story

...A LOVE STORY: LOVE FOR GOD & LOVE FOR YOUR FELLOW MAN!!!! The Bible tells us that ‘God is love’. (1 John 4:16). So it is fair to read that great passage in 1 Corinthians 13 in the light of how God’s love is expressed to us.   1 Cor 13:4-8 ‘ God’s love is patient, God’s love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, God’s love keeps no record of wrongs. God’s love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. God’s love never fails.   Now, why is this all so important? Well, it’s because our understanding and experience of God’s love plays a huge part in our love, acceptance, and relationships with other people. For we tend to treat others as we think God treats us. So understanding God’s love for you is not an end in and of itself. The end is that you may share that love with others. Paul tells us what he was trying to achieve through his teaching in 1 Tim 1:5 ‘But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart.’ But how does this come about? We love, John tells us, because He loved us first. (1 John 4:19) And it can also be said that we tend to love in proportion to the love we have experienced from God. So while these points are probably not new, allow God to speak them to your heart once again.   God’s love acts!   Rom 5:8 ‘But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners...

Dealing with a Dead Situation

...situations that we are going to have to face in this world, we must learn how to deal with some situations in your life and allow them to die. We all go and are going through things that seems to hard for us to bear. There are many things that we have been praying for and we wonder Lord are you listening to me? Halik

...at the point of death. When he heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and save his servant. When they came to Jesus, they begged him earnestly, saying, "He is worthy for you to do this for him, for he loves our nation, and he built our synagogue for us." Jesus went with them. When he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, "Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I am not worthy for you to come under my roof. Therefore I didn’t even think myself worthy to come to you; but say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it." When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turned and said to the multitude who followed him, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith, no, not in Israel." Those who were sent, returning to the house, found that the servant who had been sick was well. The Man Born Blind John 9:1-12 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. Faith

...which are true” Having faith in Jesus Christ means relying completely on Him—trusting in His infinite power, intelligence, and love. It includes believing His teachings. It means believing that even though you do not understand all things, He does. Remember that because He has experienced all our pains, afflictions, and infirmities, He knows how to help us rise above our daily difficulties. Jesus Christ has atoned for us and prepared for us to receive eternal life. He is always ready to help us, as he commands us to “Look unto Him in in every thought, doubt not, fear not”. To me, faith is believing that Heavenly has a plan for us. It is trusting in God and knowing that He has a hand in all things in our lives. The Savior promises us, “If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me”. Through Him, all things are possible. However, faith is more than simply a belief. Having faith in Jesus Christ can motivate us to follow His perfect example. It is what actions we take that put our faith to the test. For someone to have faith, they must be motivated to put a belief into practice, not merely being content with it in their mind. For example, we believe that Christ is the Savior, but because we have faith we act upon this. Some ways we can act upon our faith include going to church every Sunday, participating in service projects, and paying tithing. We act upon these things because of our faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. He promises us blessings...

Book of Mark Report

...reader. The purpose of the book of Mark is to show beyond a doubt that Jesus, even though He looks just like a man, is also God Himself. The theme of the book of Mark is that Jesus proved He is the Son of God through His ministry such as, casting out demons (Mark 1:21-28; 5:1-20; 9:14-29), healing many sick people (Mark 1:29-34), cleansing a leper (Mark 1:40-44), and completely restored men with (Mark 2:1-12; 3:1-6). The theme of Mark also highlights the death and resurrection of Jesus. The verse that has ministered to me is Mark 14:36, when Jesus said, “Abba, Father! All things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me. Nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.” It reminds me that even though Jesus is God, He was still human also. He was asking God to take this burden off of Him. However, Jesus was in total submission to what God wanted to be done. This is a reminder to me as a son on God that I too must always be in complete submission to the will of the Father. Mark 11:23 says, “I assure you: if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. I love that this verse reminds me that because of my faith in God, I can speak to the obstacles and circumstances in my life and they will be removed, overcome, and cast out of my life. I believe the overall lesson Jesus is trying to teach in...
