It is easier to complain than to appreciate. President Ninoy Aquino enumerated some achievements of his administration during his fourth State of the Nation Address Monday. No more shortage in rice, no more lack of classroom, and land for the farmers of Hacienda Luisita are some of the achievements that he cited. He also emphasized the need for investment for health infrastructures and the need to address the problems of informal settlers and the environment. I somehow wish that he mentioned something about the Overseas Filipino Workers or commonly known as OFWs since they are really affected because of the issue regarding China, Philippines and Taiwan. Complaints and criticisms regarding his administration are inevitable but I think that it is more helpful to our country if we try to see the positive things more instead of the negative ones Nobody is perfect. Yes, even the president of our beloved country. One thing that I’ve noticed when President Noynoy gives speeches is that he emphasizes the importance of the participatory approach. I agree that we, the citizens of this country, should also help in order for the development of our country. Some people always complain about President Noynoy’s administration but they always tend to forget to be the change that they want to happen. If we want to see the development in our country, we should start the change within ourselves. President Noynoy is not a perfect president but we, for me at least, could finally say that we have a good
