The arguments Krech presented in the writing “Fire” are based on historical accounts and evidences in a very objective perspective. However, many critics including Vine Deloria accused Krech as “anti-Indian.” Through a close examination of Krech’s writing, one can see Krech received this title due to his writing style, not necessarily what he believed in. The way Krech opened up the topic can be seen as offensive to those who did not finish reading the book.
