Using the store location of your choice
Description: (from syllabus) – A store layout is a strategy. Select, rank and defend the criteria you will use in analyzing the layout strategy for two similar stores. Select, compare and analyze two layouts for a store based upon these criteria.

Operational Description – The paper should be professionally presented. It should be no more than five pages of text. (There can be additional pages for maps, diagrams charts and tables.) Use headings and subheadings to organize the paper. Footnote your sources. Single space (rather than double space) with respect for appearance and readability. Start with your summary of recommendations. (This is your Executive Summary – You write this last.)

1. Learn criteria upon which layout decisions are made.
2. Adapt this list of criteria to your particular situation.
3. Prioritize and quantify your selection criteria for your particular situation.
4. Compare two layouts based upon these criteria.
5. Make use of direct and secondary information to show that your recommendations and analysis are based upon more than just your opinion.
6. Make use of principles from lecture and text to show that your recommendations and analysis are based upon more than just your opinion.
7. Lead with your recommendations. Follow with your backing and thought process.

...What a great question to ask which browser do you use? Well I looked at the falling browsers Safari, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera. I would have to say Opera is the one that seemed to work best for me. I am on OS X, and have switched from Safari due to Apple not fixing an issue with Safari on Snow Leopard (the option to block cookies doesn’t actually block all cookies on Snow Leopard Safari since an update about a year ago, and Apple still has not fixed it). When that occurred, I tested out several browsers to see which "felt right" to me in overall user interface, speed, resource usage, and security. Opera was the winner. Firefox is very bloated on OS X, as is Chrome. Firefox has many extensions and is always undergoing updates. Chrome is speedy, but Google's "Big Brother" act has turned me off to them as a company (and, yes, I know I can opt out, but that doesn't make it feel any less ire). Both Firefox and Chrome have useful and fun extensions, though, and for a while that is what made me nearly choose Firefox (again, Chrome was out). I kept Safari around just for the Reader and Read Later functions built into the browser, and once I found similar extensions for Firefox I almost went with it as the browser of choice. Then came the resource hog issues and the slow browsing experience, and, sometimes, the crashes. Firefox would always crash. I would be browsing for thirty minutes or so and it would keep crashing.
