Learning Team Deliverable

Target Market: As describe prior knowing your competition plays a major role, just as much as your target market. Target market is key when beginning the planning stages to create the type of customers you are aiming for. You want to narrow down your geographical search area to where the product will be most effective. If you are producing women’s winter gloves, you will not want to concentrate your studies in Florida or California. Start a list of the type of consumers you would like to use your product, because you may want the gloves to have mink fur inside and that would make them more costly.
After finding out who your consumers would be, start to paint a picture of the customer’s needs and wants because as we know, sometimes, the wants outweigh the needs in some customer’s minds. Once you have found your customers, start asking questions that are relevant to the product you are proposing. One of the best ways to do this is to conduct a survey. Your survey will consist of several questions that will help with whether or not your product will be successful. For example, if your product is for use by women, then your survey should be directed towards women. You can ask men the questions, because there are times that they are the ones who do the shopping for their wives, girlfriends, moms, sisters, etc. You would ask the number of women in the household, who does the majority of the shopping in the household, whether or not the woman is a homemaker or if she works. You can also ask the income level to determine if the household or the woman will be able to afford your product. This will also give you some idea of the price range you may want to place on the product. The

Week 7 Course Project Assignments

...Week 7 Course Project Assignments Deliverable #1: Discuss the organizational structure and how this may have helped the project. The Organizational structure for my project can be classified as a projectized-type organization. The team members in the project are picked from the outside world (like selecting from another team) and for all intensive purposes are hired for this project only and do not knowingly have duties outside this project. The project manager in this situation also has complete control over the team member as it relates to this project and they are only needed for this project. The project was helped by this due to how things were streamlined and made directive. The project manager had control over all aspects of the project and the people working though them. Tasks that needed to be crashed could be with planning aspects available to the project manager as well. Deliverable #2: Discuss how you did on this project and any lessons learned for you. Self reflection – What did you learn? This was my first true class on project management and I found that there are so many aspects to a project that need to be accounted for. There were aspects to both the software and the actual project manager duties that I needed to get more in tune with and feel I was able to make some great strides but there is more to review. I will likely read the class book again and continue to repeat the lectures as I learn from repetition and actual working though things...

Project Management Paper

...I received full credit for this paper - 100 % Project Management Paper MGT/437 July 8, 2013 Jenny Kirgis, MBA Project Management Paper The purpose of this paper is to define the concepts that are involved in project management. Organizations across the globe utilize a particular kind of organized methodology to manage business projects. ...project decisions because it contains the criteria used to determine if the project or phase of the project has been completed successfully. This scope will form the basis for an agreement between the project team, the customer and the project sponsor identifying both the project goals and mayor project deliverables. 2. CHANGING PRGANIZATIONAL PRIOITIES Priorities are very much everything in our economies and organizations creates uncertainty of them. I think one of the most difficult or frustrating experiences a project manager can suffer is managing within this environment while the project is being implemented. This is like a strategically driven scope where the organization may change the project’s goals deliverables, budget or time line. A project that is critical today may not be as important tomorrow and the project manager may be told to put it aside for a while and work on the newer priorities. A change in top management is another factor to be considered. This could result in change in priorities, direction of expansion and other efforts. The project manager has little control over these occurrences. Hopefully, the project has a clear process for managing project changes. There are always ways to reduce the impact of the changes by informing the teams, concentrate on executing the change, revise schedules and budget, revise project plan, and making sure there is a signed project scope etc. 3. LACK OF MANAGING PROJECT OR PROJECT OR PROJECT NOT WELL MANAGE...

Partnering with Industry for a Computer Science

...course is an important component of the senior year curriculum for engineering students and plays a key role in achieving departmental ABET EC 2000 outcomes. In the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of South Florida, we have partnered with industry to have students work in teams on industry-contributed “real world” projects. Industry partners contribute projects, mentor students, give a guest lecture, and provide the opportunity for students to present their project at the industry site. Students work on projects in teams and are given milestones and schedules to follow. The milestones include formal requirements, specifications and design, prototype demonstration, test plan, and final project delivery and presentation. The final presentation includes a project demonstration, user documentation, press release, and a poster that is permanently displayed in the department seminar room. The course includes formal lecture and reading assignments on the development process. A midterm exam covers these topics. Soft topics include discussions on working in teams. Our industry partners stress the importance of students being able to work well in teams. We hope that our experience can serve as a guide for other engineering departments considering industry partnering for their capstone design courses. 1. Introduction The capstone design course is a traditional part of most engineering curriculums. A capstone design course allows senior-level...

Isb Essays Abhinav

...Attitude, skills and knowledge differentiate people. Elaborate with two examples on how you would differentiate yourself from other applicants to the PGP. (300 words max) “Abhinav is the role model of dedication and sincerity”, said my Project Manager during my farewell at Wipro. I have a very strong work ethic – deadlines, promises and targets hold great meaning for me. Starting off my career as a technical consultant for client Bacardi, I quickly ramped up and started handling complex deliverables. A month before the project completion, I had a road accident, injuring my right hand and foot badly. Since the project was running on tight deadlines, I was concerned that my absence would burden my colleagues. So, though I could barely move my hand and foot, I resumed work within 2 days. Seeing my condition, my managers asked me to take leave. Yet, because I knew the team needed me, I continued to work so that we could deliver the project on time. Over the next few weeks, I even supported the team on weekends, and together, we successfully met the deadline. The feeling of satisfaction this gave me is indescribable. The other attribute that differentiates me is self-discipline. I consider fitness an important part of my life. Till last year, I had a BMI of 26.8 and weighed 86kgs. Knowing that this could affect my health badly, I started a regular intensive workout regime. In 6 weeks, I reduced 16kilos, and started feeling fitter! Since then, I workout religiously and maintain a proper...
