Your write-up should be no more than 2 pages (single-spaced) and include the following information: * What action did you take to expand your network? (Be specific) * Why did you take this action? (What weakness in your network were you seeking to address?) * What was the outcome? * What, if anything, would you do differently when seeking to expand your network in the future?

Actions I take to expand my network and reasons:

1) Grab opportunities
I grab opportunities that I know they will help me getting to know “quality” people. Those people can help me learn new skills that I need for my future career and support. In addition, they may be “doorways” of opportunity. Currently, I am a Recruitment Volunteer Assistant at HealthEssentials LLC. It is a profit healthcare company. Although I work at a volunteer, I have a chance to work with the recruiters, office managers, and senior leaders. They show me skills that I have not known before, from basic skills like dealing with paperwork to communicating with CEO, CFO, COO, and other important high-level people.

2) I realize that I may need help from the above people. There is a chance that they can help me to find a real job in the company after my graduation; or they may lead me to other opportunities to have a better job with other companies. They can recommend me to other companies. In this situation, I think long-term; I must build ties before I need them. We never know what people will do and who they will become in the future. So it is truly important not to cause bad relationships.
