...Service Learning Reflection During my experiences with service leaning included: painting a bathroom, cleaning inside and outside of houses, and helping coach basketball. With each of these experiences I learned new things about what I was doing and learned new things about myself. As I went to each of these situations I was nervous as to what was expected of us. This time, I chose the reading about concentration. I found this reading through the AEP website. It is originally from the SFU Student Learning Commons. They provided a number of different readings on various study- related issues student faee as university students. Each reading involves some kind of self- assessment through check lists, and then provides skills needed to overcome these issues and to reflect on how to improve areas of problems. Mistakes Made within the Organization Arthur Andersen quickly fell victim to accounting scandals within the accounting practice. The first mistake made within the organization was due to financial conflicts between the auditing department and the consulting department. Some of the consulting clients were also auditing clients and when the consulting departments profits exceeded the auditing departments profits, this created a conflict of interest. Maintaining the separation between these departments and the funds would have alleviated this issue.
