1. State the administrative agency that controls the regulation. Explain why this agency and your proposed regulation interests you (briefly). (10 points) * Department of Defense. I chose this agency because I am a member of the United States Army. I chose this regulation because I have a child and this will really help for when I want to go active duty and need a baby sitter or daycare for my child. It will affect me and the army but in a good way because it will provide security for those parents especially single moms with help for care and baby sitting. 2. Describe the proposal or change. * The proposal is basically stating that they are now providing quality child development programs that ensure the safety and well-being for our children. They want to make sure that they provide the best service there is for the children and parents so that the children learn and develop on the level they are supposed to and the parents are happy and comfortable about their child’s development and the care they are in. 3. Write the public comment that you would submit to this proposal. If the proposed regulation deadline has already passed, write the comment you would have submitted. Explain briefly what you wish to accomplish with your comment. (10 points) * My comment is that I feel this is a good regulation. It’s good to see that they are now starting to take the military seriously and provide us with more support. We and our families work hard and to receive something that we can definitely take advantage of is good. I also like the fact that they don’t discriminate whether their handicapped or even same-sex marriages. It’s also good to know that they are providing the best and making sure they are in good hands with the doing criminal background checks and making sure they have the right qualifications as well. Not wishing to really accomplish anything just want them to know how much we really appreciate the effort and the support they are showing us and that they should do this more often and have us feeling left out. 4.
