Farmers’ were severely impacted. As LeRoy Hankel said that every year they, meaning his family, prayed for rain. He stated that the drought made things bad for his crops hence they needed water and sunlight to grow. At first he could pick up 2-300 batches then, it went from a little to none. Then, after some time he had given up on his crops and got nothing. They only had wheat and one crop of alfalfa. Therefore, to him the drought made a big effect to him and his family with food and probably a economic problem as well.
