“GREEN ECONOMY” TO “BLUE ECONOMY”
Reaction Paper

Color-coding in the environment field quit confusing partly because it is applied on ecosystems, infrastructure, services, economies, and other subjects. For ecosystems, “green” refers to terrestrial ecosystem and “blue” for marine ecosystem.
In the United Nations made “Green Economy is viewed in the context of sustainable development, as the type of economy that “ should contribute to eradicating poverty, as well as sustained economic growth, enhancing social inclusion, improving human welfare and creating new opportunities for employment and decent work for all, while maintaining the healthy functioning of the earth’s ecosystem. On the other hand “Blue Economy” started promoting by PACIFIC SIDS, which focuses on the marine environment. For the PACIFIC SIDS, “green economy” is a “blue economy” that prominently features ocean; it also concerns to increase their share of benefits from the use of their marine living resources and building the resilience of marine ecosystem s to the impact of climate change and ocean acidification.
In this article, the marine environment gives more emphasize than the green environment. For me although various countries have different priorities- blue, brown or whom so ever that represent varied types of concerns in the general acceptance they have the common goal to crate opportunities for employment and to take care the environment. We as entrepreneur, or business man/men are needed to be concern with the environment, not only earned for ourselves but we need to considered and protect them whether it is terrestrial ecosystem or marine ecosystem. And promote jobs which help to the environment

Rizal Chapter 4

...“Scholastic Triumphs at Ateneo de Manila (1872-1877)” Submitted by: Carlo G. Toriaga Submitted to: Dr. Loida C. Suarez Chapter 4- SCHOLASTIC TRIUMPHS AT ATENEO DE MANILA (1872-1877) Jose was sent to Manila four months after the martyrdom of Gom-Bur-Za and with Doña Teodora still in prison. He studied in the Ateneo Municipal, a college under the supervision of the Spanish Jesuits.  Ateneo Municipal  * Bitter rival of the Dominican-owned College of San Juan de Letran * Formerly the Escuela Pia(Charity School)- for poor boys in Manila established in 1817 * In 1859- name was changed to Ateneo Municipal by the Jesuits and later became the Ateneo de Manila. Rizal Enters the Ateneo: June 10, 1872- Jose, accompanied by Paciano, went to Manila to take the entrance examinations on Christian Doctrine, arithmetic, and reading at the College of San Juan de Letran, and passed them. His father was the first one who wished him to study at Letran but he changed his mind and decided to send Jose at Ateneo instead. Father Magin Ferrando, college registrar of Ateneo Municipal, refused to admit Jose because: * He was late for registration and; * He was sickly and undersized for his age (11 years old). Upon the intercession of Manuel Xeres Burgos, nephew of Father Burgos, he was admitted at Ateneo. ...The Views of Far Eastern University - East Asia College Students on the Effects of Boyfriend/Girlfriend Relationship in Academic Grades A Research Paper Presented to: Ms. Loida R. Soreta Submitted by: Ruth Anne Geliberte Kathleen D. Mendoza Far Eastern University - East Asia College April 12, 2011 Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION A. Background of the Study On a daily basis, college students are faced with a conflict of interest: to study or not to study. Often times these decisions are affected by outside factors that are beyond the control of the student (i.e. work, athletics, involvement in organizations). One other factor that is believed to be a major influence is the existence of a significant other. While involved in a relationship during college, one might be forced to choose either studying for school or spending time with the significant other, leaving the student with increased amounts of stress. Level of commitment to the relationship must also be taken into consideration. Many factors contribute to a student’s academic grades; the aim of this research was to know the effects of having a boyfriend/ girlfriend relationship while studying and if it affects the student’s academic grades. There are lots of different types of relationships but romantic ones have a special quality to them that sets them apart. Unlike other forms, they are created through a desire to be with an opposing sexual energy, a different flavour. Not necessarily different gender...

Public Securities Corporation

...1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Public Securities Corporation (PSC), a wholly-owned stock brokerage firm of the AFP Retirement and Separation Benefits System (AFP RSBS) envisions itself to be one of the top stock brokerage firms in the Philippines. The company was acquired by the AFP RSBS from a group of private individuals in 1994 with the main objective of taking advantage of the favorable prospects in the stock market and at the same time, to generate income for the mother company. Value turnover at the Philippine Stock Exchange slowed by 30% and lost P383 billion from P1.2 trillion in 1997 to P817 billion in 1998 due to the Asian Financial crisis. The decline in value turnover resulted to less commission income generated from broking services that caused both local and foreign brokers to leave the Philippine equities market and applied for temporary suspension, while others opted to cease operations totally. Political instability also discouraged investors in Philippine equities during the Estrada Administration. Illegal trading activities, such as frontrunning, insider trading and “kiting” resulted to the loss of investors’ confidence towards the regulatory bodies, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Philippine Stock Exchange. This paper presents three frameworks to analyze the effectiveness of the company’s current strategy. Among the frameworks employed was PEST Analysis or Political, Economic, Social and Technological Analysis which was used to...
