Gaining weight is one of the most common and prevalent dangers that threatens the modern world. Fast food, leading a stressful life, and spending too much time in front of the TV are the main reasons of gaining weight, which also is a cause for several crucial diseases. People generally spend a lot of money and efforts on quick-result promising diets to lose weight. However, by following some simple steps, you can definitely obtain successful results on weight loss and become slimmer.

The first step is absolutely motivation. Once you’ve made up your mind, you should act determinedly. Undoubtedly, determination is the key to success. Even if all conditions are provided completely, lack of motivation results unsuccessfully. For instance, I recently read that a 116 kg-weighted young Mexican boy’s dream was to become a basketball player. You may reckon this looks unrealizable and impossible to attain. But he achieved his goal, he is now 67 kg and plays in the local basketball team.

After being motivated completely to your goal, the second step is to provide a regular life with healthy diet. Several researches show us that sleeping more than 6 hours causes a gain of weight for adults. Likewise, eating more than your body needs is also an important reason to get weight. Avoiding food with fat and sugar will be very efficient to help you to lose weight. Changing your life style might be difficult at the beginning, but in time, when you start to lose your first kilos, you’ll get used to it.

The last step to support your healthy life and to keep your weight at the desired level, is to join sport activities according to personal interest. It’s common that people who try to lose weight or who already succeeded in losing their extra weight, get easily under the risk of gaining weight again after a while. So, to prevent this

Eminem Lose Yourself

...Eminem – Lose Yourself After analyzing ‘Lose Yourself’ by Eminem, I’ve understood Eminem’s emotion in this song. He raps about taking a chance at success and being able to take it without anyone stopping him. He also refers to the movie 8 mile, where he failed his first chance and knew that his second opportunity he had to succeed. Analyzing the lyrics, with all the expression he has on him he’s starting to lose his desire and momentum of being an artist. At one point he says “A normal life is boring, but super stardom's close to post mortem” which means that having a normal life is boring, but being a superstar is almost being dead. Eminem feels like being a superstar is a lot of pressure and the expectation levels are very high because you need to keep producing content that is bigger and better which he said in this sentence “It only grows harder, only grows hotter”. He’s been through tough times in his career and tries his best to gain respect from other rappers in the industry. My final thoughts on this analysis would be that this song is about his tough times and what he goes through in his career and he truly does a great job expressing it in ‘Lose Yourself’. Everyone in life goes through tough situations and I can reflect on this when it comes to school grades. As I explained in the following paragraph “It only grows harder, only grows hotter” means you have to produce better content for better results is something I can reflect on. It’s never easy to get good...

Global Poverty Concert

...Electric guitars and staggering statistics shared a Central Park audience of more than 60,000 people on Saturday at the Global Citizen Festival, a five-hour concert held on Central Park’s Great Lawn devoted to ending extreme poverty worldwide. The music line-up—which included Neil Young with Crazy Horse, Band of Horses, The Black Keys, The Foo Fighters, K’Naan and surprise guest John Legend—performed free-of-charge to the public to highlight issues of hunger, poverty, polio and malaria. But while the simulcasted event’s intention was to increase awareness of worldwide social inequity, the overall message of altruism fell flat. Two hours before the concert’s start time, the attendees flooded the Great Lawn. Petition holders representing UNICEF, Half the Sky, The End of Polio and Charity Water descended upon the crowd to collect signatures to encourage future involvement in their respective charitable causes. Surprisingly, the charity volunteers were not well received by the music lovers. Many attendees walked away, or, responded with “leave me alone” before the volunteers could utter a word. The apathy, and the resulting cold responses, lasted from the time of admission to when the opening band stepped foot on the stage. It is odd that attendees shrugged their shoulders at the ambassadors; yet, they lit up when the musicians advocating for the same charities began performing, especially given the timely message. The concert was scheduled around the meeting of the United...
