Audience
The primary audience for Lubbock Turf is people who are building new homes, homeowners that are updating and maintaining their landscape, and business owners opening a new location. The secondary audience would be neighbors of the homeowners that use Lubbock Turf to improve their lawn, anyone who is hired to water or cut the grass to keep it alive, and any patrons of a business that Lubbock Turf provides a service too. The secondary audience plays a big part in the promotion of Lubbock Turf because they see the services already implemented and want them also. Lubbock turf provides services to Lubbock and the surrounding areas.
Understanding
The knowledge of the audience of Lubbock Turf varies. A homeowner that is looking to sod their front or back yard isn’t going to need to do this that often, so they are just going to take the opinion of Lubbock Turf for that one time purchase. Contractors are some of Lubbock Turf’s returning customers who have a lot of knowledge about the grass. They buy it often, and for other people. They want to make sure they are making an educated purchase, so that they in turn don’t hurt their own business. Having an involvement with this returning customer base is beneficial for the audience and for Lubbock Turf. …show more content…

Manager

...Learning with Cases INTRODUCTION The case study method of teaching used in management education is quite different from most of the methods of teaching used at the school and undergraduate course levels. Unlike traditional lecture-based teaching where student participation in the classroom is minimal, the case method is an active learning method, which requires participation and involvement from the student in the classroom. For students who have been exposed only to the traditional teaching methods, this calls for a major change in their approach to learning. This introduction is intended to provide students with some basic information about the case method, and guidelines about what they must do to gain the maximum benefit from the method. We begin by taking a brief look at what case studies are, and how they are used in the classroom. Then we discuss what the student needs to do to prepare for a class, and what she can expect during the case discussion. We also explain how student performance is evaluated in a case study based course. Finally, we describe the benefits a student of management can expect to gain through the use of the case method. WHAT IS A CASE STUDY? There is no universally accepted definition for a case study, and the case method means different things to different people. Consequently, all case studies are not structured similarly, and variations abound in terms of style, structure and approach. Case material ranges from small caselets (a few paragraphs...

Conclusion Afterword Author’s Note Acknowledgments Notes Foreword When a governor or any state official seeks elective national office, his (or her) reputation and what the country knows about the candidate’s background is initially determined by the work of local and regional media. Generally, those journalists do a competent job of reporting on the prospect’s record. In the case of Governor George W. Bush, Texas reporters had written numerous stories about his failed businesses in the oil patch, the dubious land grab and questionable funding behind a new stadium for Bush’s baseball team, the Texas Rangers, and his various political contradictions and hypocrisies while serving in Austin. I was one of those Texas journalists. I spent about a decade...
