The pseudonym name of the interviewee is named Luna Reyes. Her age is 62 and she lives in the borderline of Pasadena and Altadena in California. The interviewee is African American and Latina. She retired early from administration job because of a past health issue. She has two kids one daughter and one son. Enjoys walking around the rose bowl with her daughter.
Discussion
Luna Reyes had an unknown medical emergency that had no symptoms. She had severe chest pain that caused her to go to the hospital for immediate surgery. The doctors told her that she had holes in here intestines, which is fairly common but the holes had ruptured. There was not much inconsistency in her health because the test only measured her recent health in the last month. Her scores were overall high because they measured in the last month, which is not fully consisted with how she feels. The SF-36 scores of 100% that she scored were not consisted with her scores on general health and energy. The information from the SF-36 was not informative to show how she believes her health is. People’s health fluctuate and they are not always consitent month-to-month. The questions from the protocol had to be adjusted according to the SF-36 questions because her general health and energy scores were low. The SF-36 did a good job determining how a person feels at the current moment because she is contempt that her health is better now, but in overall perspective, it lacks information of previous health conditions from a person. The measures will fluctuate because a person always thinks about their overall health and not how their health is just for a particular month. The SF-36 took a short time to administrate, but it gave insight that there are outliers in the data that show Luna’s health is not in line with the overall scores. It did not capture the most aspects of physical functioning because it did not talk about how she was able to physically move or perform the daily function that was asked in the
