How I.O. changed my view on Madea. The I.O. on greek slavery gave me a new understanding on why the nurse and tutor act like they do. They are not only owned by Madea, but they are loyal to her and there to comfort her as house slaves would. The I.O. also taught me that although they were slaves, they were not treated unfairly and had a comfortable life. Lastly, the slave presentation taught me that when the slaves get older, they are not seeked for their physical strength, but for their wisdom and knowledge teaching me that the tutor was old. Another slide on the I.O. talked about citizenship which also taught me many things including the reason a home was so important. The slide taught me that a person could only be a citizen of their grandfather had lived there and only applied to the third generation therefore it would be harder…show more content… Also, the presentation taught me that citizen had much more rights than others, including the right to vote and have a voice in government. I learned on another slide about voting laws that in order to be exiled, a vote was taken place where they either raised their hands to vote, or used small balls placed in an urn and use that to determine their exilement. However this confused me since it seemed Creon didn't have an assembly who voted Madea to exile, and in another presentation I learned that the long is always right and has the most power. Lastly, the slide on pride taught me how Greeks valued pride in their culture and heritage, and how they liked to announce their family in battles. This made me realize why Medea killed her children, to make the legend of Jason not
