Management Functions

This paper is going to describe the roles and applications of management functions in today’s health care managers. This paper will include the four major functions of management in a health care setting. The paper will also describe the functions applying to the management of others in current work conditions. It will also describe the most important role for a health care manager and leader in the health care industry. The last aspect of the paper is going to discuss the aspects of the class.
The four functions of management Every manager, regardless of title, level, type, and organizational setting, is responsible for the four following functions: The first step of the functions is organization. This step is the process of assigning tasks, allocating resources, arranging and coordinating the activities of individuals and groups to implement plans. Through organization, managers seek to understand and give shape to the complex nature of the workplace. Defining jobs, assigning personnel, and supporting staff with formal plans, specific technology, and other resources are all organizing tasks. The next function in the process is planning. Planning is the process of setting performance objectives and determining what actions must be taken to accomplish them. Through planning, a manager identifies desired work results, makes decisions, and lays the path for others to achieve the results. The third function in the process is controlling. Controlling is the process of measuring the work performance, comparing results to objectives, and taking corrective action as needed. Through controlling, managers maintain active contact with people in the course of his or her work, gather and interpret reports on performance, and use this

The larger corporations of management have the top-level, middle-level, and frontline managers use all the functions of management.
