WHY YOU SHOULDN'T DATE A COLLEGE CLASSMATE.

Ever thought of rolling out a serious relationship with that cute girl or handsome dude in Your College class? Yeah, that classmate every friend has encouraged you to either ask out or you feel that he should actually ask you out. Your instincts have Probably led you to the point where you think that you would make one of the nicest couple together after your College years. You have reached a stage where you have a feeling that nothing would really come between you incase you started a relationship together.

Well, did you know that that might turn out to be one of Your life's worst mistakes? Chances are, you are not going to date for long and in a number of instances, your current relationship (friendly) that you are enjoying at the moment may end up being ruined.

Here are a few reasons why you should not consider dating your classmate:

1. Break - up - This is the most obvious phase of your relationship.
In an event where one of you cheats on another, you are most definitely going to break up. This can be the most awkward position you can find yourself in. Imagine getting to see your ex everyday. The guilt in you incase you are the one who wronged him/her. Imagine if they are the ones who cheated on you with a fellow classmate. It isn't going to end up well most Probably.

2. Distraction - may be you are more swayed. This is going to be largely influenced by the break-up. It happens in a number of occassions. Chances are that you are going to Steal glances instead of concentrating. Think of that random evening coffee date you are planning together, your next valentine destination, maybe. Stop now and focus on your studies.

3. Jealous - Imagine seeing your significant other getting your fellow classmate more attention than you? Imagine seeing them flirting with a fellow classmate. You are obviously going to feel jealousy and chances are, you are not going to end up together for a long time.

4. You are going to be under pressure - Remember you also need to get time for your friends, for Your own stuff, maybe. Incase you date your fellow classmate, you are not going to get enough time for all that.
You will be Spending much of your time with your partner therefore making most of Your individual life unbalanced.

TIPS TOWARDS RESOLVING A CONFLICT WITH A ROOMMATE IN A PRODUCTIVE YET
HEALTHY WAY.

Having a rooommate in College can be a great experience given that a good number of rooommates become lifelong friends even after their
College years. But during the four-year course, the experience cannot be forever smooth. Disaster can strike sometimes.

A conflict is almost inevitable for most students in college. Be it in the apartments, class, or even during social events. Conflicts can be both a source od tension and distraction. But a conflict with a rooommate can actually provide the best learning opportunity for both of you if handled respectfully and maturely.

Here are a few tips on how you should address a conflict in a productive and yet healthy way:

1. Set time for discussion - In a number of instances, whenever a conflict emerges, rooommates stop communicating with one another.
With some exchanging a few words without necessarily fighting. It id important that both of you set time that you are comfortable with to discuss the issue on the table. This is going to provide a sober atmosphere for both of you - with each party getting enough time to prepare the discussion.

2. Draw guidelines prior to discussion - Having set the time for your discussion, it is important you draw guidelines and rules that are going to set the tone for your discussion. For instance, each party will only be allowed to speak When given an opportunity, interjection will only be regarded after one of the parties has finished speaking
e.t.c. This is going to ensure a peaceful atmosphere for excellent discussion with any raising an arm.

3. Stay honest - It is important that you do not accuse your rooommate falsely. Make sure that you have credible facts about the matter. Stay honest with ine another and if need be, discuss the matter on the table first before anything else. Staying honest is not for the sake of hurting m/ making the other party feel guilty, it is going to ensure a calm discussion without any of you raising his/her voice.

4. Admit mistakes - Admitting your mistakes is one of the most fundamental pillar towards a peaceful and Healthy conflict resolution.
This is not only going to save you time, it is also going to help you in getting the way forward and how to avoid future disagreements on similar grounds.
