To the IT Department, It has become apartment that in this day and age that IT is one of the fastest, cheapest, and most used forms of marketing in business today. The need for internet marketing is ever present and can make or break a company in a brief period of time. In order for a business to reach as many consumers as possible in today’s market, we must utilize every bit of marketing potential there is to offer. Social media has been blowing up for years, and frankly is the most used way of marketing to date. Virtually everyone with a wireless device is on some form of social network. Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and yes Myspace is still up and running. These are potential resources for new customers and word of mouth for advertising through current customers. IT systems are the backbone of today’s marketing. There are more products being sold off of social networks than ever before. Some of the key elements of a company’s’ online marketing presence are what people say about their customer service experience at the business. Some people will write about these things in their blogs, status updates, and tweets. If the experience was not a good one, the potential for repeat business, or new customers by word of mouth is slim to none. The whole idea of marketing begins with a good, stable product. From there, the business will do some marketing to get the product on the shelves. Next is the customer service part, which is one of the most important. The customer will share their experience via text messaging, Facebook, tweets, blogs or other social bookmarks, good or bad, and their peers will run with this information. Based on their friends’ experience, they will either buy the product, or just stay away from it. In order to ensure customer satisfaction there must be a minimum of three things happening:
