Mba Argument

...The decision to pursue my MBA degree was never a difficult one. When I first entered the business world in 1994 I soon knew that in order for me to achieve my personal and professional goals in life further education was going to be necessary. However, I did not think it would have taken me seventeen years to begin my journey to accomplish this goal. So far in my professional life, I would consider myself to be a success. I have worked for three companies since receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in 1994 in two different industries. I have earned accolades and awards for sales and marketing performance from all three companies and I have been told that I am seen as a leader with potential for upward mobility. After taking the Jungian 16-Type Personality test, I received a score of ISFJ. This fits right in line with my past work experience because this test shows that I am loyal and willing to make sacrifices for the greater good. I was surprised to find I was introverted because typically successful sales people are extroverts. They reach out to clients and look for ways to connect with people where introverts mostly keep to themselves. However, during the last few years my personal job satisfaction has been low and the pharmaceutical sales industry has been enduring massive layoffs (Brice, 2009). Although, my current company is somewhat “bucking the trend” regarding reducing sales force sizes, I believe that all companies are not immune to the trend. So, the...

(500-1000 words) After completing my B.Tech in Plastics from one of the top ten institutes in India, I occupied dual roles of marketing executive and merchandiser for almost three years in esteemed textile firms, where I handled a broad customer and vendor base. I have spent considerable time to understand the textile market and now I am able to identify key areas for business growth and process improvements. I spotted the market for scarves and enabled my company’s foray into the product. I helped my earlier textile company which only sold fabrics to venture into garment manufacturing. I also enabled the setting up of processes and systems that improved our sales processes. Experiences such as these have honed my operational, marketing, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Starbucks a Strategic Analysis

...leadership as expressed in service to others for the common benefit of humanity. In 2009, Hariri Canadian University (HCU) started its MBA program in 2009, with only 7 students enrolled in class. It offered MBA education with one emphasis which is General Management. Although HCU’s MBA merely has a history of 3 years, it has already gained a good reputation. Today in 2012, the registration rates show an increase as the number of students reached 26. MBA applicants are increasing slowly. Two fundamental reasons contribute to this increase. On one hand, MBA is needed in the workplace. More students are choosing MBA due to pressures from their current jobs. On the other hand, the Lebanese culture regards education as a vital tool for progress and social welfare. The achievement MBA is winning wide social acceptance and is said to improve education quality.
