Step 2

Step 6

Slip stitch into the first single crochet to create a firm circle

Step 3

Step 7
Cut yarn and pull through stitch

Step 4

Single crochet around the loop, until you have five stitches on the loop

Step 8

6

...brand associations included in the brand equity framework include attributes, benefits and overall evaluation. The attributes connected with the Jim Bean brand in my view include the product related, where I feel the design is very original, the size is convenient, and the cans portray aesthetically pleasing colours. The non-product related attributes include the packaging, which with the new 10 block packs, is sleek and stylish, the price is among the current RTD range standards, and the user image includes simple, hard-working Aussie blokes. The other non-product attribute I associate Jim Bean with is the Jim Bean girls. The Jim Bean girls are always club hoping giving away free things and promoting a fun, sexy side to the alcoholic beverage. The benefits Jim Bean offers me personally is the alcoholic content, which works on the simple functional level of getting me drunk, the symbolic benefit of the beverage being one of my personal first drinks to drink on a regular basis when very young, and the taste now reminds me of good times and early party days. My overall attitude towards Jim Bean is the alcoholic beverage is aimed for laborers, has hot women degraded for laborers, and is for the simple alcoholic drinker. I do enjoy drinking the occasional Jim Bean, but for me, the beverage is simply bourbon. After visiting the Jim Bean website I found reinforcement...

Ender's Shadow Rhetorical Analysis

...Shadow, by Orson Scott Card I can reflect in the beginning that Bean is a tough kid that has learned quite quickly. He picked things up from the streets and learned how to not get bullied a lot and to stay away from certain people. He learned the essentials of living on the streets in a cruel world where nothing is nice and everyone is competitive. In the start he was about to die of starvation. He had mentally strengthened himself to survive. He chose to help Poke, because she looked stupid enough to believe whatever he said. But Poke came out to be even dumber than that and chose Achilles as the bully. This was her biggest mistake. Bean warned her, “"Kill him," said Bean. "If you don't kill him now, he's going to kill you." (10). Bean knew he was trouble because he looked smart, even with his gimp leg. Achilles was a cruel killer from heart and would do anything to win. Achilles was a thinker and knew what steps he should take to take control of Poke’s crew. He slowly persuaded everyone...

I liked how the company has the bright and bold text that was easy for me to read. I also liked the simple layout for the webpage. It was very informative and precise on the Coldwater Creek product. The disadvantage was the use of peaches on the product page, also just showing the product now any models wearing the products. The use of peaches on the main page was a turn off for me because of the peaches. I hate peaches therefore, I would not buy any products from this company. Handling Adversity

...others crumble from the pressure. How I try to handle adversity can be described as being a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean after being put in boiling water. The carrot will become soft and therefore have humanity, the egg will become hard and be tough, and the coffee bean will use the water to make delicious coffee which it will benefit from. Let’s start off with how I relate with the carrot. Before being put in the pot, the carrot is hard and difficult to deal with. However, after being put into the boiling water, it becomes soft and almost mush. There are bad elements but also good elements to this as well. It is good in a sense easier to find humanity in something when it is soft. However the bad thing is that when being soft also comes with being vulnerable as well. This vulnerability can literally destroy any stability a person has in them. I think it is good to be a little soft in adversity, but still have some hardness to myself....

Charecter Anaylsis

...model for Bean, her little sister. Other than being a role model, Liz's main purpose is to serve as the maternal figure for Bean since their birth mother leaves for weeks at a time, and is not around to support them. Liz shows her role by always taking care of Bean when their mom decides to leave. To begin, Liz achieved her maternal role to Bean, by getting a job of her own, "Liz had been doing some babysitting, but after Mom had been gone a week, she decided to take on extra work, and I got a job delivering Grit, a newspaper with useful stories..." (Walls 15). Liz knows that if she is not independent and got a job then there was no way that her and Bean could survive without their mother. Also it was her idea to leave for Byler so that the bandersnatchers, which is the girls word for the police, would not be able to take them away to Child Protective Services. Liz always knew what to do in these kind of situations, as we are told by Bean, which makes Liz very dependable. Also, Liz is remarkably intelligent, which we know because she is always complimented by teachers, parents and other adults about how outstanding she is. But not only is Liz considered to be smart in school, or "book smart", she also knows how to deal with the world, or has "street smarts". She shows this intelligence on the bus ride to Byler, when the pervert tries to get close to her sister, "Liz led me into the crowd on the sidewalk, the 'Perv' followed up. The Bean Trees

...or to simply keep moving. In the novel The Bean Trees by Barabara Kingsolver, Taylor the main character sets off on a journey for all these reasons. On her journey to self-discovery Taylor Greer manages to overcome her weaknesses The beans that are continually revealed throughout the novel represent Taylor’s life. The earliest mention of the beans took place when Taylor takes a close look at the reality of her life. “I had never done anything more interesting for a living than… picking bugs off somebody’s bean vines for a penny a piece.” (Pg 4) The beans so far are a symbol of Taylor’s weaknesses, as she and the beans are both of poor quality. Gradually, the beans are becoming of some significance in the novel, since they are truly beginning to echo Taylor’s life. Just as the beans did, Taylor begun her life without a great deal of impact on anyone, only to come plowing up and impact people where they did not expect it. At the end of the novel, the reader again encounters the beans for the last time. Although this time, the reader captures the complete significance of the beans. The beans, symbolism reflects Taylor’s development throughout her life perfectly. Taylor grew in poor soil and without the influence of the people, whom act like rhizobia that she encounters, she would have never been able to fight her weaknesses and realize her strengths. Taylor grows to become more mature and at the end at the end of the novel the beans reflect Taylors growth. Since, being on her...

...Coffee bean Rosters, P.O Box 1345 Logan drive, Denton, Texas Dear Ms Janet Doe, Iam writing to say thank you for enlisting me for interview for your advertised position for an entry level economist in your coffee beans roasting company. I have a very strong background in the field of Economics and I believe Iam the right candidate for the job. As you remember you had told me that you would like to hear about an economic concept that I learned while in college that would be useful when applied to your firm, I decided to go with my favorite theory of supply and demand. The month of April 2014, was the most driest month in Brazil’s coffee growing regions, since 1987 damaging crop yields and resulting in the price of coffee to rise by over 51 percent this year. The drought in the region has been an historic one, causing rationing of water supply in over 150 cities in Brazil. Brazil is the major supplier of the coffee consumed in America. At the moment, the retail prices for coffee are still stable and coffee roasters still have enough supplies to cover themselves for some few months. As a result of crop damage price of coffee beans are probably going to rise next year due to shortage in supply and consumers could start buying coffee beverage at higher costs according to a futures market analysts dealing with grains like coffee, among other market commodities. On April 20 this year, the price per pound of coffee beans due for...

Healthy Eating Plan

...not a stable eater; therefore my numbers fluctuate making my intake either increase or decrease at any given time. I am not a breakfast person, and only eat twice a day. I very rarely eat more than one full meal a day, which is not a healthy choice. Due to my sporadic eating habits it is quite difficult to pinpoint my problem areas, because what may be a problem area today may not be a problem area tomorrow. For instance on March 14, 2008, my calorie intake (kcals) was 2675 which exceeded the recommended or acceptable range of 1963. Now, on March 16, 2008, my calorie intake (kcals) was 1087 which was below the recommended or acceptable range of 1963. My vitamin intake on March 16 exceeded the recommended or acceptable ranges given to me by MyPyramid Tracker. This number is consistent with the food intake for this day. My grain intake was for both days were 5.5 oz. and 5.8 oz, the recommended is 6 oz. I did realize that my grain intake was good which means I seem to be doing well with the grains. I do notice that my vegetable intake falls well below the recommended amount of 2.5 (cup or equivalent). My vegetable intake for both days was .8 and 1.1 (cup or equivalent). In evaluating my intake for these days I do note that I need to add vegetables to my plan. As indicated by the sad faces on my report my cholesterol and sodium intake needs...

Research Paper On The Mousetrap

...So once I became a freshman I signed up for Theatre Basics and Drama Club. However, the drama director at the time didn’t allow me a lot of experience since “freshman were to be seen, not heard”. Then, Mr. Smith stepped into the role of drama director my sophomore year. Of course working with him has really helped me grow as a person and entertainer. But I think the play that influenced me the most was The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie. That play brought me so close to the people of Drama Club, my director, and my current boyfriend. That play was the best two months of my life. The best nights before a play are dress rehearsals. This is the week before the first of our three performances. We get to stay in the library until ten at night and hang out and practice. That’s when we bond the most as a cast and make our play into an amazing show....

Healthy Eating Plan

...University/College My current eating habits are poor; after documenting everything I consumed for three days it was especially apparent. I do not eat enough servings of each food group in a day, meaning my diet is unbalanced. On an average day, I did consume an adequate amount of, or nearly enough, servings of the grain, vegetable, and meat and bean food groups. I, by no means, eat a sufficient amount of servings in the fruit and milk food groups. I typically eat two meals a day, skipping breakfast and snacks and occasionally I do not have time for lunch and I only eat dinner; this undoubtedly contributes to my poor eating habits and unbalanced diet. In this paper, I will continue to address my poor eating habits, which will include nutritional recommendations based on my food pyramid results, and will include a plan to apply healthy eating habits on a daily basis. Peas, broccoli, carrots, green beans, mushrooms, all colors of bell peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, romaine lettuce, corn, and potatoes are the foods in the fruit group that I currently eat. In the meat and bean food group I consume eggs, most nuts, all beans, beef, fish, chicken, pork, and turkey. I currently consume every type fruit in the food group. However, I have not eaten any fruit in the past week; this is caused by my busy schedule and my inability to get to the market. I eat bagels, brown rice, oatmeal, pasta, popcorn, white rice, and cereal from the grain group regularly. Low-fat milk, fat-free...

The Bean Trees Analysis

...As the Greek philosopher Socrates once said, “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new” (Socrates). The ability to adapt to change and have faith in others are two traits necessary for success. Barbara Kingslover’s The Bean Trees emphasizes these two crucial skills. A novel centered around a woman named Taylor, her daughter Turtle, and her close friend Lou Ann, The Bean Trees follows along on the difficult journey these characters face. Taylor and Lou Ann encounter many obstacles, including acquiring a child, divorcing a spouse, moving away from home, finding a new career path, and discovering new friends they could have never imagined.
