Step-0 Don’t use iLab

You don’t need to, as long as you have a copy of Microsoft Project installed on your computer (either because you already own it, or because you are using a work machine that has it, or because you downloaded your free unrestricted copy from DeVry, or downloaded a trial copy from Microsoft, whatever).

If you want to use the version in iLab….

1. First we have to find it. It used to be a link in Course home called iLab

Now we have to search it out (*sigh*). Soooo, select Student Resources from the left hand navigation at Course Home

Step-2 in the About The|Hub box in the top right hand corner of the window click on iLAB

Step-3 click on Go to Citrix Link in the links box in the top right hand corner of the window

You will get a pop up message telling you what login to use:

Type in your user name and password

Step-4. Click on the MS Office 2010 folder

Step-5 Select Project 2010

I get this pop up (you may not), and I reply YES

Step-6 And there you are — now the problem is how do you save your project file after you build your schedule???

Step-7. After you have worked on your project entries – click File/Save As

Step-8. Now chose Computer (you need to map to your own local hard drive to save the file. YOU DO NOT WANT to SAVE your file on the DeVry server because that file is NOT available when you try and drop it into the dropbox

Step-9. A security message may pop up. Click on YES

Step-10. Your personal drive on the DeVry server is normally Drive F. Your local hard drive on your computer is normally mapped to C$ so double click on that
