INTRODUCTION:
Multi Projects, Inc., is the project driven organization (project type organization) and is one of the biggest consulting firms, with a marvelous record from the previous project that they have managed for various clients. This large consulting firm has to a certain extent manage projects that runs at the same time for different clients, hence on the other side are looking forward to spread out their business to the growing companies in the near future. In this manner things did not go well because employees have to be up to speed in order for them to keep up with the pressure that they found them in, due to the increase in work load. Multi Projects, Inc., is trying hard to make sure that their old customer base is happy, whereas doing all in their power to look good in the new clients coming in. This resulted in Multi Projects hiring more employees to ensure that their deliverables remains one of the highest standard to their clients regardless of the rapid growth their business. As a result of this Multi Projects, Inc., have tried to adopt Matrix Organizational Structure, since this type of structure allows the sharing of resources, for an example project managers can be assigned to several projects, considering the duration and the magnitude of the project. Pg41.

PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION:
The problem at Multi Projects, Inc., is the communication breakdown between the project managers and the functional managers. This poor communication is caused by the lack of leadership availability. Hence there is a tendency of undermining other colleagues and now the project managers do not follow the correct protocol. The role of a project managers and functional managers are not clearly defined, which resulted in Jeff doing all he can to satisfy his needs without considering business goals and customer focus.
